I have this same car. Except, it's silver. I'm absolutely in love with the car! It's fast, handles perfectly, and it has a great audio system!

I have this car also a 2013 mine is silver too. Unless you have the v6 , this car is not fast. I have the 5 speed auto and it’s the worst part of the car, it’s fantastic with the 6 speed manual but no one wants to sell them.

Why are people comparing this to a Camry? You people know nothing, true car enthusiasts will never compare luxury with entry level cars.

I do agree they could be more differentiated from their Honda counter parts but when you get behind the wheel and actually get a feel for the car, it still gives you the essence of Honda but with a much more premium upscale feel, plus they have a ton of value built into their price

I would check that out Henry because I have this car and my gas mileage is awesome. I get well over 300 in the city and close to 500 on highway

LOL i know! i wanted one when i was 16 in high school. too expensive and finding the combo was rare at the time. If I did it was too expensive. I had a 2009 accord coupe in the mean time, but i got rear-ended and so as I was looking I happened to find this colour combo for the tsx at a price that was now in my price range. I actually kept looking past it because I was keen on getting a lexus IS, but by the help of god it remained for sale (and the owner dropped the price a bit more) and now i own it. Great car, you wont regret it.

lol my accord was a 4 banger with a 5 speed. the 6 is so much better imo. the biggest difference between the acura and the honda is the fit and finish. so much better. and oem HIDs can't be beat. you will probably notice the power difference between the i4 and the v6 you currently have. unfortunately the tsx v6 only comes auto.But comparing the accord to the tsx in general, the acura feels much newer imo.

I love the gauges at night. It looks so luxurious.

Agree with you on the Acura grille looking good on the TSX. Have you seen the Euro-spec Accord? the Honda grille on there is not nice at all.

Lol yea I used to really dislike Acuras but now they are one of my fav luxury car brands after Mercedes and Infiniti. The refresh that Acura has given to their lineup has really made them look so much better!

I'm pretty sure they wont, they may merge the TL and TSX into one car tho

Our 2012 CR-V has those gauges too! My dad freaked out when we drove it home for the first time.

In the US, only the Special Edition can be equipped with a manual. Go ahead and look it up on Acura's website...

Sofyan, I hope you know that you are responsible for turning me into somewhat of an Acura hater into an Acura fan! Lol I used to dislike Acuras (mostly the new ones) but after seeing them more in depth in your videos I actually really like them now!!

Ya gotta love hondas and acuras. They just have such refined engines, suspensions and transmissions. If they could get their boring styling worked out and add more standard features theyll be on top!

If they gave this car more HP and torque, it would be a great car.

I think they both look fine but Im just glad Acura fixed their shield grilles, I'm totally fine with them now :)

Another great review! Good looking car and it does look nice in the Votex Blue - most of the TSXs I see are white... I also must admit that I was more of a fan of the 1st gen TSXs grille, but the 2nd gen has grown on me and now it looks very unique and stylish.

Best review ever on a Acura TSX, I myself would buy the TSX 2.4L I4 with Technology because of the backup camera. Since I saw the ILX in person, I liked that one even better than the TSX because it's a Civic counterpart and it's a little cheaper than the Acura TSX. It may put out 150hp with the 2.0L I4 but it achieves much better gas mileage than the TSX. I do like the sport mode on the trans. along with the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, sometimes I wish my Civic Coupe had that feature.

Hey Sofyan, just a little advice, you should probably get a camera man or a GoPro to put in the car when you are driving....it will improve the professionalism of your videos dramatically. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely, I would just recommend one with the technology package. Just don't expect the 2.4L 5-speed auto combo to pull like the Titan. It's alright and you get decent MPG as the tradeoff, but those German competitors and some V6 family sedans will be able to outrun you at the light.

The price I got was a steal, if you could get that more power to you however, I would not expect a dealer to give you that price. The MSRP is $30,905 I would say a sale price at or slightly below invoice is a fair price which would be around $28 grand. Good luck! It is a good day to buy today bc of the holiday!

Yup, but the TSX sedan when introduced in 04 actually replaced the integra sedan, but in all reality, the new ILX kinda does now

Unfortunately you need premium on all TSX from 2009 onward. It will run on regular okay but the computer needs to compensate and you will get terrible MPG.

The other luxury manufacturers may have more tech or lux features but they cost considerably more than the TSX. The car's main competitors are the Lexus IS250, Infiniti G25, Audi A4 FWD, and Buick Regal. Personally, out of those, I would still have the TSX 6MT at the top of that list for its value, I may consider the A4 but only the AWD models bc the FWD models have a CVT

from what i heard, the new one doesnt pick up as much power in the high end from mods such as header or exhaust because it lacks the exhaust vtec the first gen tsx had. add in the fact that the ecu is harder to crack and there is no hondata for it right now.. the k24a2 late model is imo one of the best k24 ever made still sounds epic tho :D

You should do a video showing us the best method to wash a car. Every single time I see the TSX or your Fit it's always so clean and glossy and new. Every time I wash my sisters honda crv it doesn't look as clean.

Actually the Integra 2 door coupe and Type R was replace by the RSX, and the RSX Type S, and yes the integra 4door was replace by the TSX,

hmm yea i know there is a reflash for the SI.. havent heard anything bout the 2nd gen tsx but you're in luck i just found out they have a flashpro for the 09-10 tsx... im sure ppl will find someway to make it work for the 11-12 models but seeing as this is your parents car, i don't think you'll do anything like that :)

it will be in a "sport" shift logic until you hit the paddle shifter, after that it will switch to a manual mode and wont shift until you do

its just a shame the k24z3 doesnt have the same aftermarket potential as the previous k24a2 which can pick up big gains with just a few bolt ons :/

Did they? I know the ILX was a replacement for the CSX sold in Canada. If they plan to merge the TL and TSX, I wonder if Honda is still going to keep the Accord (Euro) that the TSX is based on or plan to bring the TL over to Europe... hmm.

They use premium as do I in my ILX 2.4. The cost is less than 5 bucks more and the engine runs much better and gets better gas mileage.

If youve seen other gages lately you know how important it is. I mean on some of them namely the all digitall ones you cant see them when the sun is shinning.

Speaking of European, maybe some of your viewers know it or not(I know you do) but the TSX is actually a European Honda accord, then Honda brought it over here as the Acura TSX later, i think it replaced the Acura CL at the time , but i'm not sure.

After seeing this review I got an Acura 2009 in Vortex blue. Nothing much had changed in this model. It was 10,000 less than a new ILX (which I liked better) so I thought it had great value. However, I have two question for you. 1. It seem to be a bit "top heavy" around parking lot and downtown driving. ILX was better at that.. 2. It is slow to start off. If you are in traffic and starts from almost 5mph to pass .. it actually has a considerable delay. almost 2 seconds before it accelerates?

Are you sure about the Hondata? I have a friend who has a 2012 Civic Si who has done that to his Si as well as an intake and its pretty bad ass lol

It seems to be more an overdrive rather than quick shifting. It seems like increasing the rpm is all it does?

Sofyan, I just sold my Titan that I've been driving for 3 years, and I'm looking for a sporty sedan with decent gas mileage. I can't expect anything I'm looking at to match the V8 pull of the Titan, but I can't drive a slouch either. I've been considering a used A4 or C300, but I'm afraid of German reliability, so I started thinking about a TSX recently. Since it is getting long in the tooth and will likely be replaced soon, do you still think a lightly used TSX is a good buy in today's market?

I'd say this engine sounds better than my GTI except for the DSG pop that you get. With the right exhaust it would sound fantastic!

How smaller is this in terms of interior volume than the TL of the same year?

I just want one with either a black, silver, or white exterior, which a gray/black interior (with no wood trimmings).

I swear a Lexus CT200h is more striking to look at. It has LED DRLs. And gauges would look horrible from the passenger seat, cause that person can see the ugly part of the needle move.

Yea I most def. agree! I have been in a few Acuras and that really has helped change my mind about them! There's such a quality feel to them compared to their Honda counterparts, everything since nicely made and just a very refined feel. It doesnt really bother me anymore that they look like Hondas. I'm just glad Acura got rid of that ugly baby-tooth grill Lol :)

Haha :P I used to dislike Acuras because i criticized how they were just like rebadged Hondas with nothing really special about them but now I look at it this way- It's like having the luxury of for example an Audi with the reliability (and sportiness) of a Honda. I am still a Nissan/Infiniti fan over Honda/Acura but I would get an Acura over a Lexus anyday! plus they seem very fun to drive :)

I think that was WAY out of his budget. And besides he got a good deal on the camry (which he loves) I just can't believe he wouldn't even give a 4 cylinder TSX a chance.

It's because he works at the dealership. Honda dealerships have the best carwashes.

Our 2004 TSX still has the new smell to it a bit. And she smokes in it a bit. EW. And before Acura adds LED runners, they should add LED tails to help suit them.AHHH that Purr @ 6:12

I also had to add.. the break seems to "warm up" quickly. You break two hard times and they start to act 'funny'.

What would motivate you to buy a TSX or an ILX as opposed to a high trim Focus?

thats not accurate, you can get a 6 speed manual transmission on all trim levels of the TSX.
