2011 Water Tower Inspection

While some politicians are trying to limit the reach of the EPA there are still basic regulations that need to be enacted. Did you know there the EPA has no rules to inspect or clean potable water storage tanks? States currently set the standards, some states have no standards at all and water storage tanks are never inspected or cleaned. What do you think? Take our poll at www.ronperrin.us You never know what is in your tank, until you look.
For more information see our blog at www.ronperrin.us and our web site at www.ronperrin.com For a free quote to inspect or clean a water storage tank or tower call us toll free at 888-481-1768.

You are a very dull-witted person if that is your nightmare. These tanks have ladders so no matter how dark it is you can eventually get to the ladder in a few minutes. And there is a way out, it's called a hatch. Found at the top of the fore mentioned ladder. DUH. If you are worried about air, these towers are NEVER filled to the top. The hatches are also meant to not lock or latch just by it closing. The latches have to be manually lifted and screwed down. So they can't just close and you are fucked. Someone would literally have to lock you inside. If you get locked inside then why the FUCK were you in there in the first place.

Should the EPA require tanks to be cleaned? No. Because that's a state's issue and it's the state's right to enforce that. A federal agency does not have jurisdiction telling states. Can the EPA can recommend? Sure it can. But it cannot enforce. If it's that important, then let your state legislator know how important it is to do so. That's like the city coming into your house and telling you that you should wash out sink every day. It's none of their business. Its up to you to make that decision.
