Born and raised in Pennsylvania!! Loved this video. Reminded me of my younger days and opening day rifle season. Almost a religious day when I was growing up.
You guys see more deer in one day than I see in 4 years of hard hunting. Great video!

You're right about that.
2011... I made the decision to sit out that season. I had heart valve replacement in August of that year. I had just enough deer meat in the freezer to get by. In 2012, I was locked and cocked again. Put 2 does and a buck in the freezer before Thanksgiving. It's a blessing to be able to hunt again!
It's funny because when I'm watching I still try to be at quiet and still as possible as if I was hunting

It's in your blood now. You can't control it. Don't even try!
Watching this in 2019. Hell of of stand in those pines. Those buck are probably long gone.🤣

you don't see those kind of numbers anymore... you're fortunate is you see one a week
Your group sure does great film work. I have enjoyed watching several of your videos! I especially like that you don't add in music. Its nice to hear the woods or just the people around you. I think the way that most professional hunters edit that in just takes away from the hunt. Keep up the good work!
man, what a good first day, not just for hunting, but for just seeing deer let alone buck. i'm lucky to see one!
That 8 point is just beautiful! Great video as always!
By far the best deer hunter on KZread. Always having good content, good ethics, and good quality. If Leatherwoodoutdoors was on the outdoor channel I wouldn't miss an episode. Especially when you bring out the old rifles. Keep it going !
Beautiful bucks. I would've gone for some of the bucks you passed up even! Great hunting spot you are definitely blessed to have it!
keep up the good videos, its nice seeing good hunting and trapping stuff thats close to home and not out in the midwest somewhere
It’s the middle of July and I’m already ready for deer hunting to start 😂
I look forward to watching these videos! Keep em coming! Great stuff boys!
Great video. As a lifelong PA hunter who now is going to school in Michigan, I greatly miss spending time at camp and going out in the woods. Can't wait til late season flintlock comes in. I personally prefer that to rifle season anyways, less people to deal with. Also, there is just something special about harvesting deer with a flintlock.
Wow those are some beautiful PA bucks! keep the videos coming!
Good deer in pa hard to get bucks like that in pa great job LWO keep it up I enjoy your videos
What a great location to set up. That looked like a deer superhighway.
It's about time somones shows what PA is all about thanks guys for the videos and keep em comin
Best hunting season ever for 2011 got an 8-point buck 2011 my brother got a 9 looks like you had some luck to good job
Awesome deer you guy's, like 8 year's ago wow. Lots of hunter around you all. That's why I like our camp,it on private property surrounded by open lands. Not many people pass through, and not many deer like your area.Like it that way,Gid bless you all, keep up the good work and videos 😁
buck at 00:52 was like ohhhh... fuck its starting.....
such a pretty deer. everyone likes the messy bucks with stickers everywhere. but these are my favorite. perfect 8 point, very beautiful animal. my 9 looked similar and i could not be happier.
great vids u guys make me proud to be a clarion county hunter
nice job fellas... looks like a pretty good day to me! especially for PA! Your blessed to get nice bucks like that in PA
I watch all your guys' videos and this is my favorite by far. Anyone of those deer you saw would get shot in Ne Pa where I hunt
Another great video. Looks like you have a pretty good chunk of land to hunt, in parts of NY you can go weeks without seeing an antler, but that's hunting and you gotta love it
Excellent video and congrats on the monster 9 pointer!
thats for sure! once they start cruisin in Nov. its crazy how far they can go sometimes
nice work guys! i was able to shoot a big 8 pt up in crawford county opening day, green scored at 135. can't wait until next year!!
Thanks for the great info! I am now hunting with a rifle here in NC, but Im only up about 20'. I havent seen anything yet and I think its due to being too low. I will increase my height and see how that works out. Again, great film and its amazing seeing all of those bucks in one area!
You have some prime land ! Watch all ur videos 10 times lol get ready for season doe opens for me next weekend i should get video up i see a pile a doe every day i scouted so I should get a video up
NICE VIDEO!!! those were some nice big trophy bucks they took!
I wish I had a place to hunt where I could pass up four bucks and a doe without worries about getting anything at all.

this is a nice for clarion county i hunt here also, in washington township u guys have a lo tof nice deer ur videos are great keep up the hunting action
Nice bucks! Even more appealing is the fact that you seen so many sub-legal and little bucks that you let walk. This is how hunting really is, especially in Pennsylvania. Down home.....real hunting! Great job! By the way, I'm about an hour or so West of you out I80 and have family off the Strattanville exit. Love hunting with them. See ya around?
loving all ur videos, im down in indiana pa and work at an archery and gun shop in armstrong county and a staff shooter for grim reaper broadheads..keep up the good video work..especially wiht the trapping,(loved the coyote) i didnt get any this year just tried to do a bunch of predator hunting instead of trapping, its hard to find time for everyhting with college work and army stuff and it was a hard year for that shooting some canines lol...loving the videos though keep it up
Hey so lets see the sheds and that buck together. that would be cool to see he was big last year he is a monster this year. Congrats
its definitely no easy task shooting a running deer. it takes experience to be able to do it time and time again. Nice bucks! Good Luck this year guys! Were only about 21 days out now from opening day in PA.
Great video!!
that half rack at about 2:00 judging by the marks on his back there is a way bigger one bossing him around those pines you hunting in haha great video i subbed you guys rock id love to hunt with yall
Wow.. I'm new to the channel and I'm amazed. Good luck guys in a few hours is opening for rifle.. I can't go due to knee problems.. Hope to see some videos of some monsters tho!
That 8point is a monster
Did you guys ever score the two bigger bucks?
@Leatherwoodoutdoors
10 жыл бұрын
8 Point grossed at 135 and the other at 139+
I can really notice how all the bucks on your property are very closely related in the same gene pool, because they all have the one good right side, while the left might be minus a point, or have broken of points. Anyway great bucks!
Do you even know you are in deer paradise?

actually it's a nine because it has a point by the browtine
Leatherwood Outdoors is welcome to come to Idaho and hunt with M@M Outdoors anytime. Love all your videos in how professional all the hunters are. Good job to all the hunters in your videos.
OMG< after all these videos I finally see your dad, I know him from my former drinking days at the Snug. my bud has property bordering Champion and Oleon. keep up the good work wonder if you guys have any the bucks we shot on your trail cams. G. Putney, Butler Pa
Great vid guys! That's a 'Man Buck' there! :)
There must be quite the deer density in Pennsylvania. Most videos that I see from there, you can practically walk up to huge herds of them.
great looking buck congrats
I just got my first deer saturday. a 7 point buck and i got it from about 30 yards away with a crossbow. weighed 164 lbs. i might have a vid tommarow of it before my dad cuts the meat up
Love your videos and any of those bucks wouldve got shot here in Southern WV
love the vids, are you going to make more vids this season?
Great job guys!! Congats!!
your brother cal who shot the really nice 8 point looks like Benny Spies from the hunting show.
great stuff!!
Nice work guys.
great video...thanks for sharing it..
That last buck shot... Did you guys count that as a drop time? What did he score?
Nice deer! Hope to see one like that in 2 weeks.
Great Deer and good video , what rifle did you use and what weight grain for your bullets ?
not a game farm. watch all their vids. its all on private or public land where they manage their deer wisely.
thats wierd bucks got more scarce now even with antler ristrctions, which is one thing the game commission did that makes sense
Hunters buck is related to the one his dad shot in 2010 , you can tell by the drop tine at the end of the beam
Awesome job
down here in new york people shoot any buck they see i got my first 4 point this year
what game would a 7mm mag be good for in america mabye be canada in the future but mainly in pa and va
hunter rubys buck looks alot like his uncles buck he shot last year congrats!!!
nice footage
Some huge doe in there too you guys have a great plot producing hogs!
where you hunt in the pines seems to have really good deer movement. how come you didn't shoot either of those seven pointers?

And wow, lots of buck movement at the start of your hunt!
life time deer congrats
thanks bud. thought they were in the 130 class or so. :)
I don’t know which deer I like more I think the first monster has more weight and the antlers are so thick the second is a monster but I like that first one a little more maybe but I’d never turn my nose up at either . What was the final score and weights?
Hey awesome deer all of u wish I was in ur show. Was wandering where u guys hunt and also I suuggest that if u guys want to fill doe tags with ease try tamaqua, pa
looks like you got alot of 1 1/2 yr old bucks runnin around up there, looks like they're gonna be studs here in 2 years
thats a wicked lookin buck congtats. i killed a big 10 last year the neck was seriously twice as big we measured it and it was 36 inch neck
i also live in clarion county. got a 7 point buck opening day
What did those two bigger bucks score (net)? You guys hunt northern part of 2D, correct?
Wow, do you guys put out feed? We only saw 4 deer the entire season. Lucky you!
2013 pa rifle season is December 2nd this year, pretty late
wish i could get a deer like that. i only got 2 deer out of 3 years of hunting and only seen a total of about 18 deer out of all them years
Nice video, what did the two monsters score?
I'm surprised that Ron took that buck but since I guess he can't get out much since he lives in Pittsburg but its a real nice deer
thats a really good spot to hunt i wish i had a place like that to hunt on
Heck of a good opening day.
How high up in a tree do you recommend climbing up with a climber treestand?
You should make a DVD
Hey, just watchin some more of your videos and noticed that the big 9 with the split beam and the big 12 from the previous season, taken by Pat Ruby, has very similar split beam, even on the same side. Were they taken out of the same area? Possible offspring of the big 12 or another older buck spawning both. 2 generations of hunters taken 2 generations of nice whitetails. Might not be the case, just my observation.
What was the score of the 8 point
After watching this video like a bunch of times, I kind of realized that Ron's buck was probably the offspring of Kale's. Those curved brows are a dead giveaway. Do you know if that monster passed his amazing genes on to any other ones that are around today? Shouldn't he be much bigger at 4.5 than that. He should be 150 or something, but he was probably injured. Either way Buck of a Lifetime. My cousin got one similar with the muzleloader here in NJ last year but it scored in the high 120s
How old do you think Those bucks are that kale and hunter killed?
@Leatherwoodoutdoors
7 жыл бұрын
kales buck we think was 4.5 years old and hunters was 3.5
@Leatherwoodoutdoors ya i wasnt sure because i know u r a trophy hunter and a meat hunter here in vt i can go days without c ing a deer especially here in the mountains.. great videos ..
How do you get these bucks so big! Holy cow! You have any tips or anything to get these bucks like this?

Let the little bucks grow. Age is the key
