Tiyee Ryan it was before the "playoff committee". Only blue blood schools benefited from the bcs rankings. Teams like ostate didn't stand a chance, and it showed in 2011.

Tiyee Ryan I totally agree with you that ostate got screwed, I'm a huge ostate fan. In my opinion it's about money, the rerun of LSU and Alabama game brought more money than ostate LSU would have. Two big blue blood schools. A redemption game for Alabama, I larger viewing audience. Sounded like money to the bcs.

Well they really whiffed on the money prediction then. 2011 NCG was the lowest rated NCG in the entire BCS.

My most favorite game of all time! We would have beaten LSU if we went to the National Championship game.

Ozzy Head Different match up. LSU's defense would not have stopped Oklahoma State's offense and Stanford ran a much better offensive scheme. You know, that Andrew Luck guy.

Ozzy Head Sidenote: SEC defenses aren't that great, they just all face shit offenses. Could you please remind me how they did in their bowl games last year? I suppose you have already forgotten what OU did to Alabama in The Sugar Bowl. It looked much like this game.

What pisses me off the most is seeing in the lower the lower third that LSU vs. Alabama was already penciled in as the BCS Championship game that year. You heard right: while this game was in progress and OSU was taking OU to the woodshed, LSU-Alabama was already tagged as the championship game.

Yes it was ridiculous. It just goes to show how biased ESPN was and still is towards the sec. To me the rest of the conference isn't that great and Alabama is head and shoulders above the rest.

@@projectawesome5675 OU has 39 all-time national championship victories, only 7 came from football. OKST has 52 all-time national championship victories, and 34 of them came from wrestling. If you want something recent, OU has 19 championship victories in the 21st century, only one of them came from football. I wouldn’t bring up OU just being a football school…

Oklahoma State did get completely screwed this season. I don't think they would've beaten LSU, but it still would've been much better than a SEC rematch.

I remember that I was watching this with friend who was an OU fan, he just went to the other room whenever I watched.

Watching this game again makes me really wish Monken would have stayed in Stillwater. We were also a turnover machine that season.

The one home game I regret not going to since I can remember going to games as far back as '08 Bedlam and '09 v. Georgia to reopen BPS after the renovation.

CrimsonViking That defense made him that way. Oklahoma State would have beaten LSU. They were a run team and Oklahoma State would have shut their run game down. Meanwhile, LSU's defense wouldn't have had a chance in hell of keeping Oklahoma State from scoring. SEC and Big10 teams are overhyped. They put a Big10 team in the playoff last year that didn't even play in the championship game and we all know how that turned out. The SEC also had their asses handed to them in bowl games that they were suppose to be over matched against. It's all bullshit hype. Tell me how Ohio State has a better opportunity of making the playoff this year than a team that completely owned them on their own field.

They beat Kansas St on the road by 41 points and beat Texas by like 38, they weren’t bad by any means, above average.

Hey lets all agree to stop trolling the Oklahoma State fans. They're already upset they didn't get to be humiliated like LSU. They claim to deserve Alabama's spot since they sucked for not winning conference losing to LSU they later destroyed. See this is worse then losing to Iowa state because one loss won the Big12. See? Logic. But wait there's more, because Alabama aint so good, They bring up their loss to 2014 Ohio State, absolutely loaded with NFL all pro talent.

You need prayer, because you're an idiot. The entire sec is overrated besides Alabama they are the absolute ruler of college football and could beat the Cleveland Browns any day of the week. The last time an sec team won the national title not named alabama was 2010. That's 8 years ago. They are the best conference because alabama. No one can even come close to playing with Alabama in college.
