The Cruze is the latest compact car from Chevrolet, the same brand that brought you the Cobalt and Cavalier before it. In many ways Chevy's previous small car offerings struggled when compared to icons like the Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla. With the Cruze Chevrolet has stepped up its game, producing a car with the features, safety, style and efficiency needed to take on the best in class.

I've had mine for 8 months and average 32.5 mpg in almost all city driving. I have the 1.4L turbo with the RS package and a 6 speed manual trans. I really enjoy driving this car and it has a lot of small features standard that add up to a nice interior. I'm over 6 ft tall and have no problem with roominess or reliability.

Bought a Chevy Cruze 1.6 in 2009 in South Africa and drove it 200,000km before it was totalled from the rear by a spinning Audi TT. One of the best cars I have owned, and I loved the space and it sturdy handling on the highway. It could handle speeds of 180km/h quite easily and was a great family car.

I've had myt 2013 1.8 LS for over 4 years now and he is my BABY! 🤣🤣 I love this car, not the fastest, but he gets me from point A to point B in no time, has been back and forth across the country with no issues. The car was well taken care of before I got it, and I have taken even better care of it, I do all of the regular matinance, preventive, etc. It did have some overheating issues at one point because of the plastic thermostat, but I did a partial overall on the issue points that had over heating 2 years ago, and all is weel since than. I plan on doing even more preventive work in the future since he's just getting to 101k, especially once I move my family and I into a new home with a driveway again so I can do more projects. But, all and all I love this car!🫡❤❤🥹

To be completely honest, i dont have any real problem with chevy or chrysler or whatever. if they build a car that can do everything that i want AND i think that it will last a long time, i would definetly consider it. i like the direction that chevy is going with the cruze. its not something i have ever seen before.

The Daewoo Lacetti is a rebranded cruze....General Motors had Chevrolet rebrand the car world wide to make more money...hell they have them in India and also rebranded models there too. The Chevrolet Cruze is an american designed and built car. Daewoo is owned by general motors they build cars General Motors designs...not what Daewoo designs. This is where everybody gets all mixed up. They google daewoo cruze and see it looks nearly the same and say "the cruze is a korean/chinese/whatever built car and not even american". They don't put a big "MADE IN U.S.A." Sticker in the door with "Built in Lordstown, OH factory blah blah blah." If it were an imported or foreign design, it would say import on it somewhere

Honestly, I am not a car guy. I know alot of people who swear by them. Although, these people either got rid of them by like 12000 miles--they were older men who did not drive them very often and had money to burn--or had the power train replaced at 60,000 miles. My brother n law got one for free that needed an engine at 60000 miles or so. Buying cars are a gamble. If you drive the average miles a year and buy new, chances are you will have no problems while it is under warranty. good luck!

I saw that button on a test drive at the dealer and he explained what it did. Looking at the cruze but dad doesn't like compact cars, doesn't think they are safe. Bout ready to say i'm getting a nice cruze for myself and be done with it. But so many options in GM I like. Choices choices choices.

@heartlessvietboy I'm saying it's all about perception and quantity vs demand. It's very simple. A car that is bought up in great numbers for fleet services and rental companies make the overall non owned cars on the road increase, by doing this you increase quantity for a car that usually is not in high demand I.E. Chevrolet Aveo. That very same car also has a stigma of being cheap so the public doesn't makes it their 1st used choice driving down residual value. I have a Merc and love it.

The Cruze is a very nice looking car, I see them on the road every day. They have a nice agressive look in the front and nice styling on the back. GM cars may not have the resale of a honda or toyota, but GM owners usually keep their cars longer because the engine lasts longer. GM's problem is they come out with a great car like this but the price point gets way to high, to fast. The models of GM's cars people would actually want, end up being way more money than the corollas and civics.

They could though, the Cobalt SS did, the problem it had was the cheap interior. I just think they should.

Ok, I apologize my brotha. So far I had to have the trunk latch replaced, the thermostat, and the clutch. The latch and thermostat were covered under the manufcturers warranty. If I may, I suggest that you lease a vehicle, that way you can get a new vehicle every couple of years. I know that you will not own the car but I believe every car is designed to fall apart once the warranty is over. This way you will never have to pay for service, other thn gas, tires, and oil changes. This is my plan.

What I got off this review is that I should buy a Cruze used for an excellent value

go test drive both. see what feels best for you. Just don't let the salesman sell you the car yet. and depending on the engine you want. if you want a V6 then go for the accord. If not i would opt for the cruze with the better mpg.

@sadam2525 sounds like a lot of problems with fords and chryslers. Gm has stepped up their game recently and u should be more open to Detroit 2011
