Same I unfortunately totaled my 09 CTS which I love but it brought me to my 2006 DTS i changed al the emblems to gold changed the grille to a custom E&G chrome grille with custom vogue rims and tires I love her

Had to trade mine when the rear main seal went bad. Hated to let it go, but repairs would include removing the engine and cost more than the car was worth.

This car looks like my older brother's Car that he bought it from the dealership called Davis Chevrolet not to long ago it definitely has some throwback to it

The north star 4.6 v8 is front drive and makes nice power. But are they reliable and affordable to repair??

I had a 98 Deville Concourse with the North Star it was very powerful and fast but sadly at around 120,000 miles the heads went bad....I loved that car

Is this cat stll for sell?

I had a 2011 platinum with every option you could get, bought new. before the warranty ended it went through two engines due to the head gaskets, the third one lasted till 90k miles before it blew again. I love these cars but they're not worth it. a 65k car should never have to go to a junk yard like mine did within 5 years. Yes, I had it crushed instead of fixing it, a 8-11k engine swap for a car that costed (when it died) 10k. I replaced it with a LS460 in 2016 and I will never set foot into a Cadillac or GM product again. Every now and then I look at videos to remember why I fell in love with it in the first place, that last true big body Cadillac.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Of the 1000s of videos I've done in the past 7 years, this one gets the most calls. I have a list of 25 people wanting this car. I just sold a $105,000 Escalade over the weekend. It's truly an amazing Cadillac. All the best.

8-11k for an engine swap???? You obviously dont know how to shop for an engine. What a shameful decision to have had the car crushed instead of taking the time to have the car repaired correctly. Smh😢

Lexus owner here. I suppose that you have been extremely impressed by LS quality, amenities such as keyless entry and start and auto-closing doors and trunk, and built ~ let alone the much more powerful output, acceleration, top speed, and 8-speed transmission. Lexus is a better modern car for sure. But good old Caddy would always have a piece of our hearts. My father-in-law also has a DTS Platinum in his fleet, and he loves it too much that he hardly drives it at all. Only 15000 miles from brand new to present moment. Lexus is a great car with performance and reliability, while Caddy seems to be a piece of American history.

@@wilsonhung8654 I loved my Lexus, traded it for a flying spur in 2022. Nothing went wrong in the 150k I’ve driven it. But on to bigger and better things.

Just bought s 2011 dts platinum 34k miles 1 owner with disc and vogues for $11k. Same color as this too. Colum shift though.

@@n.montana1858 awesome. We have the same ride I got it from original owner with 16k miles I’m almost at 27k it’s been since august. You can tell I love the car too. Just want to make the smartest decision for a reliable car I can sell this for good money but I love it too much.

A DTS Platinum does NOT have a column shifter, only on the floor between the seats.

I actually sold it for asking price. If I have 20 of them I would probably get same if not more. I'm amazed at the popularity of this car. I've done 4000+ videos and this is the most sought after car out there. Do you have one?

I thought the last year model had the Chevy engine in it?? I remember them scrapping the Northstar finally around the end. I wouldn’t give 50 cents for a Northstar engine. After 100k they are a ticking time bomb 💣. I found out the hard way

How often Did you keep up with the oil changes/coolant/ Air Filters etc...Sound Like to me Neglegence on Proper Maintenance & up keep of the vehicle..
