Personally, I like having the buttons over the touch screen. In 2012 when they released the Intellilink system the user interface improved alot, but I don't think the added center console button was removed if you got a GPS. Either way, buttons and knobs rock. Touch screens are just ok, imo.

haha, "new car smell is like catnip", its true! my trunk still has a hint of new car smell, so I'll occasionally open it to take a whiff.

Just a correction on one small thing, the engine is all american in this thing as well, it's not offered in Europe but is offered in many other NA GM products. Actually I believe only the GS will have the same engine as the Euro model. To bad the blown V6 will not make it stateside, along with the AWD.

Transmission failed ,no recall .Dealer used to replace the trans under warranty and research says the trans would fail again with in a year. I have one in my driveway for scrap.I heard the trans was built in china. Oh ,it's turbo.

I just bought a cxl (not the turbo) So I should expect the transmission to fail? Mine has 130,000 miles on it.

I own this car (the turbo version). I disagree with you on your opinion of the user interface. I don't find it a bit confusing. On the contrary, it's easier to operate than the interface from my 3 series that I traded for the turbo regal. My wife had an 07 Lexus GS (which she traded for the Lacrosse CXS), and that user interface was a NIGHTMARE. I guess we have our own opinions, but I see 3 possibilities for disconnecting my calls as options, not attempts to confuse the driver lol.

Where do you get your music from? Sounds like something from a Mac.

This looks identical to the Opel, this is why I wish GM manufactured its own type of Buick Regal so we would all know that its really American...

@CDTbossy 20mpg is absolutely nothing compared to the average economy of a European car. If this thing got great mileage as a trade-off for being slow that would be one thing. But that isn't the case, so the NON-TURBO is going to be an absolute dud.

That's a shame. We need more traditionally American, soft, floaty cars, with super-boosted steering. European/Sporty tuning has DESTROYED car comfort. It's a tragedy.
