Better Performance. If you have a more heavily-modified Mustang GT and are looking for some headers to help the engine breathe easier, these BBK Chrome/Ceramic Long Tube Headers might be the perfect solution. This is the perfect modification for anyone with a forced induction setup on their car, including nitrous or a turbo, but they can work well on ponies that are all-motor with some pretty aggressive mods. Keep in mind this modification is intended for off-road use only. These headers have been designed by BBK to fit on all 2011 to 2017 Ford Mustang GTs. Strong Construction. The header flanges are made of one piece and are laser cut, which guards against leaking. The runners measure 1-7/8 inches in diameter and feature mandrel bends to maintain smooth interior walls. You can get these headers with either a bright chrome or ceramic finish. With the ceramic coating, the headers don't absorb as much heat, letting the exhaust gases escape faster for better performance. Good Fitment. While these headers fit on your car well, they do require you to swap out the mid-pipe at the same time. Also, this is a difficult installation job, because you must remove or loosen several big components on your car to get the headers in place. If you don't possess advanced mechanical skills, this isn't the job for you to take on and it should be done by a shop. If you do this job yourself, plan on it consuming an entire day.

I am in Maryland. Is this going to be smog legal in here?
A custom shop wants $850.00 to install long tubes on my 14Gt. I have no idea if that's even worth it, the headers I was looking at are $600. All that money for such little power gains doesn't seem worth the trouble.

850? dude you are getting ripped the fuck off. buy the tools and do it yourself it really shouldnt take you more than a few hours. or go to some small mom and pop shop and ask them to put it in. its not a complicated process so you dont need dealership quality techs to put these in.
