Just happened on your video. Wish I had found it earlier. Can't tell you my surprise when I opened the fob based on other videos and found two batteries. Fortunately I had two replacement batteries, but when I put them in, it didn't work even though I had the polarity correct. I think it was the position of the plastic tab. Once I fixed that it was fine. Had to open up my spare fob to mimic it. If I found your video, it would have been easy.

Thanks for demonstrating how to open up the key fob! FYI, the 5-button Volvo key fob for my 2012 S60 is different as it takes just one battery (not 2), and it takes a CR 2430 (not 2432). Thanks again!

Unfortunately there is manual programming procedure or these fobs - you will need an automotive locksmith or dealership
Great video....I seem to have lost the plastic tab that fits between the batteries & can't find a link to a replacement. Any help her would be appreciated.

No - it needs to be 2 CR2430's
Will changing the battery cause the key fob to have to be reprogrammed?
