Installing a Warn Vantage 3000 winch on a 2010 Yamaha Grizzly. Part Number 89030. Should be the same process from 2007 to 2015

Thanks so much for the wiring help. I had trouble getting the winch and bracket in to. What worked for me us placing them in together loose but not bolting them together until after the mounting plate is bolted in place.

Was the install pretty much the same as in this video? I'm getting a '19 Kodiak today and I'm going to attempt to install a 2500lb winch.

BanginCB7 yes, was pretty straight forward. I also installed the wired remote. KFI has a very good color coded wiring diagram on their website. I did not have room to mount the relay where you did in the video. Had to mount on winch plate which I didn’t like doing too much. Feel like those wires are going to get caught on the trail. But so far so good.

If you take all the excess wire out between the winch and relay ,you'll have more power a the winch.

DeAnn HIlmoe in theory yes. However with the length of the wires being not really that long, if you calculate the resistance per foot you really wouldn’t notice any power difference at the winch if you shortened the wires.
