This commercial still gets me even 3 years after the olympics!!! a great moment in Canada for sure!!

You’re not the only one. Amazing commercial and an amazing moment in Canadian history

I remember the night of the last semi-final. I was coming home on the subway when the announcer said "Attention passengers, we have an important message." I thought "Oh, no. The train's going out of service and I'll have to walk home." Then he said "Results are in. Canada, 7. Russia (long pause) 3. We're going for gold, people!" That just sums up how important this was to all of us!!

This is so true. All the emergency vehicles plus city buses either had a cdn flag or GO Canada Go on them leading up to the hockey game. The streets were empty during the game too, people were either in the pubs or at home watching the game.

Canada didn't face Russia in the semi finals tho..... that was the quarter finals

This was the quarter finals between Russia, we played the Slovaks in the semis, 3-2 win
