2010 Hyundai Sonata Repair Part 11

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've always wanted to take a car that's been in a fender bender and restore it to new condition. This Hyundai is the perfect candidate, with both front and rear bumpers having been tapped.

I just replaced my housing and I still have a leak. I even changed that inlet o-ring. I am at a loss for why it is still leaking. I am 99% sure the leak is from that inlet o-ring. I guess I will pull it apart again and make sure that o-ring is seated properly. Do you have any suggestions?

There's the inlet o-ring and, seal between the housing and block, and the thermostat seal. Have they been replaced and seated correctly? Have you confirmed it's not the hoses - heater core and radiator? Sometimes you need to cut them back with the reinstall if the lines are older.

Thank you for this bro. I have the same leak on my gf’s car. Same as yours. I replaced the thermostat housing and it’s still leaking. I don’t know if I installed the hose wrong? I installed the top hose to the top part of the housing and the low one to the low part. I don’t know if this is correct. Please help me confirm

That is correct, top hose to the top of the housing, lower hose to the lower part of the housing. The seal between the housing and block is keyed and should fit in a certain way. Also, cut back both hoses before install. Rubber can get compressed and leak if you don't cut them back. I had to do that.

@@WithWardWorks Thank you so much. I had to replace both hoses mine started leaking because it had expanded at the point where it connects to the housing. But everything is all good now. Thank you for your response. 👍🏾

Appreciate the video man, 🫡 I'm struggling with the same issues. Trial and error unfortunately but definitely a doozy. 🥴
