Do you happen to know the torque specifications for the valve cover bolts? Thanks
When the serpentine belt tensioner is bad that it literally rocks/jumps, can that cause misfires? Or at least for the engine to think that it is misfiring because of course the timing will be off- and after replacing the serpentine belt tensioner, would I need to have the timing checked? This leads me to another question, can this result to p0016 code being thrown once then not anymore? For a better idea, the other morning, car cranked for like a quarter of a millisecond, basically just made a short noise like it’s cranking but car didn’t start, ran codes, threw p0016 (which means the correlation of blah blah blah is off), cleared it, right after- car started but with bad misfires. Hasn’t threw the code again, did a visual inspection and the tensioner is literally moving up and down about 2.5mm. And sometimes it makes the famous noise to indicate one or more pulleys are wearing or worn out. Regardless I’m gonna replace the tensioner but the code it threw once has something to do with the timing chain, mechanics are telling me to take it Audi.

Serpentine belt tensioner has no bearing on misfires or cam / crank correlation fault codes. Timing will only be off if the chain is stretched, the chain has too much slack or the cam phaser is not working correctly.

my a4 b8 2.0 would not start this morning, the motor just spins, I changed plugs, coils and checked for fuel pressure, and spark, I do not have any engine codes but I did have a key code 00955 which said it did not recognize the key, the key will lock and unlock the doors do you think that is the timing chain that is causing it to not start 141k miles it drove ruff all last week but always started

I think that it could be timing chain , it was driving rough to tell you that the timing chain is about to go out
Bro i have some codes cylinder 3 misfire. Hide Cylinder and multiple misfire detected. i have changed my coils, plugs, Cam shaft sensor as well. if the compression test is ok then 100% it will be fuel injectors right ? i also checked with obd scanner that no misfires on cylinder 1,2 and 4 but on cylider 3 misfire continuously increase. kindly help if possible

Just look for vedios I put there about the red Audi, they will explain to you and help you , I think one of the stoppers are out ( the spring and the little ball) Just watch the vedios right before this one
Did changing the cam bridge solve the misfires?

Watch the next vedio , it was the cam lobe that wasn’t installed properly
I found a rocker arm under the PCV broken. If I want to replace the camshaft and the rockers on the exhaust side can i do it without messing up the timing? Is it as simple as removing the cam and putting it back in the same position? I hope someone can help me, I've been looking around on the internet and i haven't found anything

Why do you want to replace the camshaft at first place? You can’t remove the cam without messing up the timing but it’s not that difficult, put the car in service position and start removing parts bit by bit till you’re able to remove the cams , examine them and replace the lifters and rockers as necessary and put back everything but you need to time the car properly

@@strictlyaudis7012 got it. My original plan was to lift the cam just enough so I can replace the rocker and lifter and don't mess up the time but I wasn't sure if it was possible. I imagine the lob on the cam is damaged form the rocker thats why I was thinking on replace it anyway. What I m trying to avoid is having to buy to many new tools to do the job. Tha k you for response . It helped me clarify some things.

Where are you located ?
My Audi b8 wagon wouldn’t start and my car went into limp mode after getting my car jumped. The scanner read a bad crank and cam shaft sensor but then had a turbo underboost reading? Could that be related to the whole timing chain?

@@DamonProFitnessTraining what’s the mileage ?
I have 139k miles not sure if my timing chain has the updated tensioner or if it was replaced under warranty. What mileage do these go? I am worried I will blow my engine. I have had a new engine put in the old one lost compression also did lots of work, Pcv valve, Diverter valve, spark plugs, coils, upper+ lower control arms. It has been feeling a bit like skipping but no check engine light

At 138k miles , meaning that you must check and make sure your car is good to go otherwise it will be gone . Start by running a carfax , if it doesn’t say it was done recently, then replace it . I could help if you’re in Washington state

You just put them on the cylinder head , make sure they are fully seated and close to top dead center so that you don’t have to rotate them for more than half turn , but generally if you just put them there , there will be no problem cos you will have to make them top dead center

@@AngelRodriguez-jv6oc it’s ok if the cylinder head cover is installed , just remove the timing chain and re-install it again. The cam bridge should be installed after you properly install the timing chain . What city do you live in ?

@@AngelRodriguez-jv6oc you need to go to Audi and buy a new one original , about $35 I think . I can’t tell you don’t install it because that could damage your car , you must buy if from the Audi dealer , no other options
