Thanks for leading the way on this. Just did my 2013 and I had doubts I could get it out without removing the manifold. Took me about 50 minutes to get that damn spade connector off but otherwise it was pretty easy following your guidance.

every video I looked at said that the intake manifold assembly needs to be removed. You're the only one that found a way to remove it without taking out the assembly. Thanks for this. It saved me a lot of time.

My Mitsubishi starter is fine. But I can't believe how crazy complicated they made near every repair on this car, and the astronomical prices for mitsubishi parts. They want $500 for an EGR valve, but I was able to clean mine up after extracting if out of the black hole it lives in. I think I am selling my cheap auction POS Mitsu Outlander Sport now that I got most the broken things fixed and it runs good. I admire your patience and thanks for posting repair videos.

you're good brother,all i watch here in utube were they removed the intake manifold, how u do that.. my lancer same with that engine wont turning starter when i start, i suspecting starter..

Took me 50 minutes, just gradually worked it. Little release on the engine side, not the hard bump, just above the bump. That wire took me the most time.
