It was cool the way you stuck that bottle in the reservoir 👍 and bled the brakes, very informative thanks.

Some of those sliders have a rubber ring on the end. Is there an easy way to remember which slider has the ring, is it consistently on the leading or trailing end?

Cool thanks for the video..I didn't know that was the emergency brake in the back rotor...I watched a video of a guy doing a brake job on a soul and he redid it all ( the emergency brake) but there was no commentary to the video so I thought the back brakes were some kind of pad/rotor- shoe and drum combo😂🤣..now I know its only the ebrake and I feel MUCH better going forward...

Yeau, even if I don't break the tapered allen screws I don't put them back. When I worked at the dealer many years ago, they said that those screws were just there to keep the rotors on while the car was traveling down the assembly line. I don't know if that's true, but it works for me.

I've been told the same, and like them, because if you ever rotate the tires, you have less of a chance of rust falling behind the rotor. If they are still usable, I use them.

@@RustBeltAuto Good idea. Never thought of that. Rust falling behind the rotor could make the pedal pulsate. Thanks.

So you pretty much always just leave the bleed valves open with a fresh bottle of fluid pouring in the resevoir and you don't have to press the peddle at all? Once the fluid comes out in a stream it's all bled of air? I always thought you had to pump the peddle and close it and reopen it until it stops squirting. Is the peddle nice and hard when you do it your way? Which way gives a harder peddle or is it the same for both methods?

No air enters the system when you gravity bleed. Once in a while a car will not gravity bleed. If there is air in the system, sometimes you need to pressure bleed it to get the air out. When I do a car like the one I just did, the brakes feel like brand new.

So I noticed that you didn't put a little grease in the brake pad caliper slides. I've seen other videos that recommend that. Is that dangerous to put grease there?

No, it's not dangerous. Just don't glob it on.🙂

Nicd job, but let me ad my 2 cents - when unscrewing bleeeder DO NOT FORCE IT - instead tap a wrench with a hammer, it will make things so much easier :).

There are tricks to not break bleeders. Everyone has a way of screwing that up. Like a painter never making paint run. Never happens. Better for you to tell people then me. I will never hear the end of it.
