Look up the Brazilian ones, they were building pro touring versions 30 years ago. Down there the Maverick is the most popular vintage car and they spend big bucks on it.

Beautiful! My first car was red ‘70 Maverick I bought used in ‘78. Man, I loved that car! Drove it until a drunk rammed into me and totalled my baby.

Love this Maverick

Very nice car, but some basic info on the engine and drivetrain would have been nice.

Ford V8, based on a Windsor block and carefully assembled by Bennett Racing Engines." www.fuelcurve.com/built-for-speed-twin-turbo-ford-maverick/ It sure looks like a Windsor, no front mount distributor, but that is common in builds of that caliber.

@@gerryrogue7710 You can clearly tell by the valve cover bolt pattern it is a Ford engine.

That thing is fuckin’ badass. Super build, awesome car! Congrats to the builders and owner. Not many people would sack-up that kind of money on a Maverick. You’ve done its namesake proud! A true Maverick. Nice!!

I've always liked the early Mavericks. Decades ago, one of my co-workers had a stock Maverick Grabber 302 2barrel that would quickly enough top 100 mph - I can't imagine 200 mph. One of my cousins went wild on a 302 Maverick with whatever speed parts he could buy at Super Shops. I had an acquaintance with the rarer Comet GT (Mercury version of the Grabber).

I always love the underdogs in life and this maverick is a shining example of an underdog done good!

Sickest Maverick you will ever see! It can’t get nicer than that.

My grandpa had one my entire childhood. Never knew one could be that badass.

This is one of the coolest cars I've ever seen

My first car was a 75 Mercury Comet, the Mercury clone of the Maverick, but with 4 doors. It was pretty sad looking, but the motor had been redone so it was pretty speedy - although not at all like this. Good memories.

My first was a 75 Maverick. Also with a Built 302. I ended up swapping the bumpers to the small kind because the big bumpers made it look horrible.

My cousin had saved up and bought a Maverick.Before he could drive he had it painted and the whole engine done with Edelbrock parts.I loved that car.This one is really nice because it has a modern look that most guys do not have the creativity to build.

Had a maverick it was my mom's Christmas present in 1970. It started rusting the day my dad brought it home. Cool looking car, I ended up driving it I high school. I couldn't put anything in the trunk because it would fall out through the holes. It amazes me that any of them survived . Lol. It beat walking though
