I thought that way to but I may have to change that thought. Noah Lyle's is finally working on his starts and how to get up to his top end speed faster and hold it. If he can open under 10.0 in the first 100 then he can take the 200m record. Then you have Erryon Knighton. The kid is only 18. He is tall and fast like Usain and already has heated all of Usais junior records with a 19.49 in the 200. Christian Coleman is back, he doesn't have the top end speed needed but he has the starts to push Knighton and Lyles to greatness. I am not a fan of Fred Kurly. I don't see him getting that good in either but I do see him challenging the others in the near future. If Bromell gets his stuff together I could see him surpassing the Beast and Gaye but I don't think he will catch Bolt. I haven't seen enough of Jamaica's two new young sprinters to make an informed assessment of them. On the ladies side though Shelly-Ann is the premier sprinter works wide. I expect her to equal or surpass Flo Jo's record in the 100. Elaine Thompson probably will also but I just ain't ready to see that. But the 200 is a different beast all together. Shericka, Abby Steiner, Gabby Thomas, Elaine Thompson, and a few others are poised to take that one down in the next few years. That is something to watch.

Usain has always been plagued by injuries. His first Olympic injury. His best years 2007 to 2009. All the others were interrupted by injury. Olympic 2012 men's 200m final; he slowed because of a reoccuring injury. Agreed his season was 2009, he was just embracing his speed. A few months away from his 17th birthday he ran 19.93 and slow down before the finish line. If he had ran through the tape it would have been a 19.8 he still hold the youth record even now. I understand your admiration, sure he play around, but that help him to relax. Berlin 200m time should have been 19.16 or 19.15 but he was breaking form.

Watching these races in his prime was so bizarre, you just forget those dudes scrambling behind him are the fastest humans that have ever lived. It was like watching the giant precocious kid in 6th grade that had already finished puberty race against the little kids in his class. Hard to describe the excitement around his races coming up just to see what might be possible. Nice to have a bit of it back now that the women sprinters have finally caught up with the steroid era records of the 80s and are threatening or breaking those records regularly

@@bobbyswan5659 Sure he was the fastest. with that body how could he not ? imagine gatlin had that body what he could do. I insist...………...bolt was ONLY 22 years old in 2009 when he made those two world records. I BET YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THIS PLANET THOUGHT THAT FOR THE NEXT YEARS HE COULD AT LEAST DO ONE MORE W.R IN 100 AND IN 200 METERS...…………..when u do those records at 22 (9,58 and 19,19) means that u can certainly improve them before u get....30. BUT LIKE I SAID......BOLT WAS LAZY AFTER 2009...……...only like 2-3 times he made close to his records...…(19,40 in 200 meters and 9,63 in 100 meters) and that's that. I BELIEVE HE COULD DO LIKE 9,50 IN 100 AND 19,00 IN 200 AT LEAST. HE FAILED AT THAT AND IN 2017 W.C HE WAS A DISGRACE...……….HE COULD NOT EVEN FINISH THE RACE IN 4:100 RELAYS CAUSE HE NEVER TRAINED RIGHT FOR THAT EVENT AND HIS LEG BETRAYED HIM. WHAT I WANT TO SAY IS BOLT MAY BE THE FASTEST...……………..BUT HE IS NO NEAR TO REAL LEGENDS LIKE JESSE OWENS AND CARL LEWIS WERE LEGENDS...…………………..FOR ME HE IS JUST THE FASTEST ATHLETE IN 100 AND 200 METERS CAUSE HE WAS LUCKY TO HAVE THE BODY HE HAD AND THAT'S THAT...…………..HE IS NO GOD....NO LEGEND LIKE SOME IDIOTS THINK.
