I feel you, I've been itching to ride for the past few years but haven't had the opportunity. I started having dreams every night about riding and sometimes I'd wake up and I couldn't go back to sleep. I just scheduled my first riding lesson since I was nine yesterday. I hope you're riding today, I know this comment is old. It's truly a feeling like no other.

@Karina Peters In America we have just as much colorful horses as you do, in fact we are home to the majority of the mustang population who are quite colorful. I belive there is no difference of horse colors between the US and the EU. Perhaps the horses from the US that seem to mostly be bay or chestnut in the US are just because throughbreds are the primary horse for jumping. And throughbreds are more commonly bay and chestnut than grey. Another factor may be since greys have lighter colored hooves which factor to more fragile hooves which is not ideal for jumping. But there are some greys with stronger hooves occasionally. My point is that we have palominos, paints, pintos, creamellos, dappled greys, appaloosas, blacks, roans, and many other vibrant colors that are also in the EU. And approximately in the same amout.

IS it just me or does it seem like the women always have better leg placement? I dont know if im just imagining that but i just feel like the women have better leg placement than most of the male riders xD Especially over the jump. Not only in this video but many others too

its just some males are all 'go for it and risk anything' kind of riders and most of the women riders (like myself) are carefull and they want to have a good posture when they ride. xx

Little Miss Sunshine I'm big on posture it helps keep balance and staying centered. But when one is not as equatated during a round it's usually because they're aiming to just be effective.

  • @sabrinacampbell4438

Well men usually have linger legs or bigger legs so they have more room to wrap around the horse and their leg doesn't stay as still. Like if you are on a horse and your legs don't reach the bottom of his barrel you automatically think you have a good leg because their isn't anywhere for the leg to go and it's steadier. But also could be they just don't work on the placement they work on the effectiveness.

Maybe the women riders started riding equitation as youngsters and that was their foundation for life, and the boys just started jumpers without a equitation foundation. I know in Europe that's the difference in many of the riders

These horses have to be taught to raise their feet higher! When they're training there needs to be someone with a cane poll Standing by each rail and they need to tap the horses hooves as they're going over so they'll raise their legs higher! This is not an easy task but it needs to be done seeing how every one of these horses except for two knocked rails over because their feet are not high enough!
