Absolutely love these cars, I picked up a 09 GT with 86k miles on it for 22k back in March. It's got a ton of mods done to it (6.6L forged stroker kit, TSP custom cam, SLP long tube headers, Corsa catback, Camaro 3.45 rear diff, etc) and it's making around 450whp. It's an absolute blast and is the perfect daily driver to me!

Very nice video and G8, sounds great too. I own a 2009 G8 GT. I'm not a "car person" so I don't know how to do much work to it myself. I rely on videos like this to know what to tell my mechanics to do..lol. It's been a struggle finding good mechanics. Just got a DOD delete/tune/CAI last year and went to call the guy recently for an oil change and minor work; shop is closed. Places either close down or the dudes that run them end up being unsavory people. I'm at a loss. The search is on for yet another mechanic. Proud to say I'm a member of the clean interior club. Only a little bit of rub damage on the side of my driver's seat from the previous owner. Handle material was starting to come loose from the seam, but I fixed it with some glue and the tip of a credit card. No sagging head liner, no other worn areas. I'm very gentle with it though 😉

I have a 2017 1500hp SS. And just recently got a 2011 Caprice 9C3. Thats the new project PD Blower. Next will be a G8 GXP. All motor build. Because I have all 3 types of boost already. Centri Lexus Turbo SS PD blower Caprice So next will be a G8 all motor LS7 possibly. Then a GTO. Then the ultimate will be getting my hands on a VF Maloo GTS or GTSR. Or a VF commo GTS or GTSR also. Nice cars bro.

I think they were hooker blackheart tips, but those specific ones are no longer for sale. Others sell identical ones. I loved how this looked!

How do you get the car to get a good feel miles without the Cylinder deactivation

You mean good fuel mileage? Really on the highway I saw maybe 1mpg less without it. If you go 75mph or less its a wash

Every Holden I've ever owned has has the problems your G8 has. Bad paint, shitty upholstery, collasaping headlining but mechanically sound.

No car is perfect. These issues are ones I'm willing to deal with. A floppy headliner won't leave me stranded on the highway!
