This was unquestionably the year that Crown had achieved something exceptionally rare in the activity: a signature brass sound, one where you could listen to a portion of their show and know who was performing based on nothing but the sound of the hornline. Very few corps really achieve it, but they all have one thing in common: they're all championship-caliber ensembles.

What I love about it the most (and this may be a reflection of that time period in drum corps overall), is that it's the perfect blend of, in layman's terms, old school and new school. The ending of this show sounds like 2010, or 2010 sounds like this show...And LOOKS like it in some spots.....May just be me. But it sounded very familiar.

Yes the 2010 closer is very similar to the 2009 closer. They played The Promise of Living in both closers.

That’s why 2010 is called a second chance

Yeah the whole thing with 2010 is that it’s “A second chance” at winning. Tons of symbolism but they play several hits from 2009 and they have the same ending, with a few changes. Even the gradient color guard flags are the same despite being a different color. In 2010 tho, they both run off together instead of just the one in 2009.
imagine being a trumpet player and being told: hey can you just stop playing trumpet and dance around for the rest of the show?

I don't like my horn line prancing around. That's the color guards job. Yes, I'm old, get off my football field lawn! Shakes fist.
