Watch a full tutorial as a 2014 BMW X1E84 will have a new 12" Android Tesla-style screen installed in the factory pocket location. This new touchscreen features both Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and integrates into the factory audio sound system.
This video applies to BMW X1 E84 models for years (Without upper screen OR with CIC OEM display) 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. This video includes the radio removal, wiring of the new radio, and reinstallation.

I recently got and install a rear view mirror with back up camera. Is it possible somehow the back up camera to be installed at the same time to rear view mirror and this screen? Or do I have to have 2 cameras? lol. I just want to use the screen for the back up camera. Thank you for your video super helpful and clean installation.

Does it have Bluetooth with the CarPlay? I hate using the aux
Unfortunately, it’s no longer available on Amazon
It looks like no matter what method, via harness or the aux cable the car will need to select aux as the audio input source to have sound is that right? Is there a difference in audio quality now that the input option is aux instead of the factory USB or Bluetooth option?

The steering wheel controls - volume up and down, and track next and previous works fine, but the voice command doenst launch Google Assistant, and the recirculate changes the radio display (and activates / deactivates recirculate). Is this to be expected?

It's always good practice to do so, we didn't specifically.
can you please tell me the factory passcode of the screen? i have installed the same thing and now i want to check update for android and it asks me for the code.....i forgot it
