Is there an arrow on the edge of that new filter? Does it point in the direction of air flow or does it say "up" next to the arrow? If it says up then the arrow should point up but if it says air flow then the arrow should point down because that it the air flow direction. Also if two sides are more rigid than the other two sides of the filter, one of the rigid sides should face the front. That way the prongs on the back of the plastic cover will hold it in the correct position.

There is other air filter with similar size locate in engine compartment, open it by unlock the flap cover. If this air filter is air con filter, the other one must be engine air filter? Correct? Confused, need help.

That was Engine air filter. this one is AC filter.
