2008 Suzuki XL-7 Headlamp Bulb Replacememt

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Replacing a headlamp bulb should be easy, but not if you own a 2008 Suzuki XL-7.
Since it does take a little bit of work, patience, and finesse I made this tutorial for you.
Hope it helps!

A bulb in my wife's 2007 just went out. Great design by Suzuki. I'd like five minutes alone with the asshole that designed the headlight assembly. Why not just replace the timing belt while you're in there? My Mercedes-Benz e320? I don't need a single tool to replace a bulb and I could do it in less time than the average tv commercial. Thanks, Suzuki!

You are soooooo correct. And yes, I would like to meet the designer that came up with this idea. I just changed the headlight bulb in my 2010 Forester. Done in no time!

For those that are looking. Better be patient. The bulb in its socket is hard to get out as video showed. It might work to leave the bulb in the lens assembly to give more leverage when pulling and prying the bulb from the electrical socket. Be careful handling the new bulb, wear a clean glove, cloth or latex/vynil. It might help some to put the bulb into the lens frame then connect the socket!

I know you might not see this considering this is an old video but how did you get the clips out of the grill😩 I'm trying but I don't think I'm doing it right

I see you! As for how I got the clips out of the grill, I believe I used a flat head screwdriver and gently popped up the middle pin. Once the pin is out you can remove the outer clip and then the bumper. Make sense?

Funny thing is i just changed my bulb on this xl7 without any tools. I went in from behind the bulb assembly by pulling the rubber covering then the connector plug then i used a key to losen the wire clip relecing the bulb .changed it in 10 minutes. Lol

Jason Varney my man, this has been the funniest, most accurate statement so far! This car was literally a free car, so I’ll keep fixing it until it stops being economical.

@@DIYTutorialGuy LoL. I've had mine for about 6 yrs now, I changed the headlights 1 time, just recently 1 went out again. I completely forgot I pretty much have to remove the front clip drop the engine and jack the car up to change the damn headlight 🤣 not quite that much but you get it, its absurd. Appreciate the video though. Thank you
