Had one of these for a little under 2 years. Ill put it this way, when the car was going right it was a fine car. Not much power however. The timing chain went at 129k km and (partly my fault) the head gasket blew at 149k. The previous owner to me likely never changed the oil because the thing knocked and banged constantly at any rpm. It gradually got worse around the time the head gasket popped and further worsened. Im not sure who bought the car after me but they live local enough and likely put a new engine in it because i walked past it in town 1 day and heard no connecting rods banging! Onto a more positive note, aside from the lack of power it was a surprisingly fun car to drive. The gearbox (5 speed manual) felt good, nice simple dash layout, easy to service, relatively cheap parts, good visability, miser on fuel, decently comfortable and small enough to navigate any car park. All in all i liked the corsa quite a bit Thanks for this review btw! Great video showing off everything the car has to offer. You covered just about everything

where did you get the after market alarm system from?

I have the 2010-2011 OPEL CORSA 1.3 CDTI Enjoy ltd. edition 111 Anniversary in dark blue. It is the best small car in the world. Forget the polo, fabia, fiesta, mazda 2 etc. This is the best value....get the 2007-2013 models from 3000-5000eur. The best buy of your life. But, ignore the petrol model. Get the 90PS 1.3CDTi or the 1.7 diesel if possible.

Well, from what I've seen in videos on this particular car, Englishmen, and everyone else pretty much except for this lad, and some Serbian dude, just walks through it like there's a plan - exterior, interior, feel, that's it. This dude took us through the car like he was showing it to his best friend. "Watch this - it has aircon, it can heat the ass, or the back, or both" etc. You probably know what I mean :)

@@zaneverovati that's not what he meant he meant that this guy makes two different versions of each video: an english version,and a russian version and what this dude meant is that the russian versions are longer than the english versions,and he is curious if there is something in the russian versions that is not in the english versions

I currently have a chance to acquire one from 2008, a 1.3CDTi with 180 000 km on the clock. Looks good, but the last Opel I had was a Vectra B 1.8 115hp gasoline powered. It had decent power to pull itself both through city and on the highway (I topped 200 with it, felt like the car is gonna fall apart any second, but the old girl held through it :D ). However, there were a lot of faults on the car itself. So I don't know if it's something to expect from an Opel that's 10 years newer than the last one I had, and 7 years younger than the old one. (Vectra was 1998, acquired in 2013, drove for 6 months, sold for pennies cause many faults. Would still purchase one nevertheless, but right now, I'm really going for maximum economy).

Corsa do not come with traditional automatic gearbox , this is rarer option where the manual gearbox is automised, so it controls clutch and gearstick position on its own

The normal manual gearbox is very reliable as always This is rarer automatic option, which is known to fail

@@televisionandcheese most manual gearboxes are incredibly reliable and rarely give trouble. Loads of car manufacturers have had major issues with automatics, cvt's and the likes, not just opel/vauxhall

Is this car STOLEN. Number plates are cable tied on. There are a lot of bits missing from the engine compartment. And the front an rear bumpers don't line up with the rest of the bodywork. Just saying.

Opel Corsa are the most common to steal car in the world.... But there's no way anyone would steal this It has the automatic gearbox !! Haha , no one in their right mind would want to steal it
