This city brought back all the memories for me, this batch city cvt many problems and i have to always go back honda sc cz of flywheel problem, change flywheel not cheap, 7k-8k almost, we also changed recond gearbox import from jp around 2.5k if not mistaken. But in the end, the ecu of this car already problem because one of the relay in the fuse box burnt and it was too late when we discovered. I traded in and get the 2018 myvi av

One of the CVT problem at early stage was due to wrong transmission fluid used. That what I heard.

What problem do you have, is it like inside the video when u press deep when moving from stationary, it will jerking juddering like inside the video?

@@m.1265 if i stop at the traffic light, the whole car will jerk when the gear in D, rpm will drop down and whole car jerk. This one during new car got already, went back to sc and still cannot solve during that time. Then another time is on highway, i kept stepping the accelerator, the rpm already like 4k but its not going anywhere, and it stucked at 80km/h and not going any further. Eventually, the car broken down the next day and towed to Honda Skudai, this one was the flywheel problem and costs me 7k plus to replace it. Then, after few years the jerking problem came back. And this time it became worst, the engine stall directly if jerking for too long. Engine light came out. In the end, change recond gb from japan. And sold the car after a year. 12 years of ownership and traded with a new myvi.

@@user-of8pd8lk7i how much u change the recon jp gearbox? I think any this cvt owner will go to 4AT or 6AT gearbox haha For me I won’t change cvt again, I prefer Mazda 6AT or Perodua 4AT lol

I thought you were testing the vtec variant but it's i-dsi 😆 one of my relatives have facelifted vtec city and driving from KL to Ipoh every time (before lockdown)

Just had the transmission overhauled a few days back. Paid RM 3k. Car throbbed violently when in D. What to do ya? Trade in?

Issue still remain after overhaul? If yes and you don't want to repair it anymore, then you might consider trade in

@AnthonyLoh Just collected it 2 days back. When shift into D the car throbs and this morning RPM revs up a bit during warm up. Overhaul has 6 months warranty so I've contacted the same guy to check again. I don't know if it's safe to drive. Thanks for your advice.

@@kels1009 Yes please do contact the overhaul technician if the warranty still eligible from them. I guess they will short the issue out if it is from the transmission itself after the overhaul.

Idsi and ivtec models not sure. But according to vtec owner he can average 14km per L for mix driving

The performance is OK only. As it was built to be fuel efficient at the first place. You can check out the VTEC.version if you need performance from the same car.

The handling is not as good as other cars with handling capability. But daily use is ok. Maintenance is fine just need to watch out those with CVT issues.

There are small windows cutout at the A pillar. It serves it's purpose to counter the thick pillar. Perhaps it is not big enough?

@@heiniskandar3718 Understand. I think there is no way a car manufacturer can fully abolish blind spot. Just each car design might works for a person and might not.
