    I googled this and there is a recall about the abs pump. Gonna look into it this week. Info was great just glad I didn't waste my time taking the wheels off.

    What about checking the ABS pump? It is common on Ford vehicles!

    have you seen sticky sliders cause this issue? I'm trying to work out a little bit of a different issue. I have a 2007 Miata with a Wilwood big brake kit (fixed calipers, so no sliders) and get get pad knockback with it. My rear brakes are still the original sliding calipers. Can that be causing pad knockback?

    Ford, even though I have driven two Ford cars over 340,000 miles my Ford Fusion Hybrid lost pedal. The internet says it should cost 650$: dealers want 2,000$. The real issue is Zink plating in Mexico was sub par but they still used the sub standard parts. Ford also had to come up with a brake fluid that would reduce the the issue and there is a recall but not for the Hybrid. WHY

    Not sure if anybody else has faced this problem, but mine is different. My ABS pump on 2007 Ford Fusion SEL V6 with only 90K miles, is leaking from bottom at one of those two cylindrical pistons. I first changed the master cylinder thought its an internal leak in the MC, but I figured its a ABS leak when I was bleeding the system for hours and was never able to get the air out. Noticed the ABS is sucking the air in, and leaking out the fluid. I am gonna report it to nhtsa site.

    2011 Ford fusion, no brake pressure, master cylinder was replaced, hydraulic control center replaced, no leaks at wheels, still no break pressure. Plugged master cylinder, hard petal, reconnected lines, bled all 4 wheels again, still no pressure. What do you think?

    Bru this fusion abs pump failllllll. I changed twice amd master cylinder. Calipers are ok i just dont get no pressure to some wheels. I brake bleed electronily,vacuum,pumping no air, and the brake is the same. Fisrt time i changed the abs pump i had no pressure to rear, now i got no pressure on fron right and left rear. Changed another one from the dealer añl parts and now i only got pressure front left. I went through gallon brake fluid bleeding this p.o.s. still have the car here

    Well i i finally got it working right idk if the abs pump was faulty or maybe i was bleeding wrong. Anyways First step i did: connect the main lines from the master to abs pump dont connect to brake lines get has much air out posible. 2nd: connect brake line to pump and bleed through scanner, not through abs bleed, there is an option that lets you activate outlet and inlet valves on pump individualy, what you want to do is pump the brakes and hold and open the outlet valve then close and repeat, do this to all 4 brakes pedal should pick up 3rd:Then do abs brake bleed 4th: be safe bleed though caliper bleed fitting, you should be good

My mechanic is out of option at this point and want the vehicle towed to the dealership.

    My 2007 Ford Fusion has this ABS Valve problem and this issue is going to cause fatalities. There have been tons of complaints posted about this issue and it has to do with the ABS valve sticking. This can happen if your ABS system kicks on during a rough patch in the road or hitting a bump, etc. Sometimes the valve unsticks and all is fine for a while until the next time a similar incident happens. PLEASE call Ford Motor Company at 1-800-392-3673 and COMPLAIN so a recall can be done. After you make this phone call, then contact the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236. Ford Motors will HAVE to resolve this problem if enough people complain!!!

  • @somedude10324

    @somedude10324

    There's a valve in there that opens when an ABS stop activates, and allows the pressurized fluid to circulate through the pump. It has a habbit of sticking open after an ABS stop, and will often remain stuck open until the next ABS stop.

    That is one dangerous thing to happen when it hits the floor, and one expensive pump. Glad you are one of the good guys who are willing to share that knowledge, now I'm mentally armed when (if) he calls back, thanks again.
