For 2006, the Corvette got the new 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous 4-speed auto. 2005 was the only year the C6 Corvette had the 4-speed automatic. Yours has to be a 2005 if it's a 4-speed.

@@StormAutoAdventures - thks vor your reply. you are certainly right, but the interesting thing in my case is that - although it is really a 4speed automatic gearbox, first placing on the road as brandnew car was only in summer 2006. - so where had it been meanwhile ?? stayed around somewhere until first owner came around......???? do you have another idea? thks

This car is over a decade old, yet you will get compliments at gas stations, head turns and kids pointing every single day. What a flawless design. It looks just as good, if not better than any brand new car out on the road.

I bought my 2008 about 4 1/2 years ago and absolutely love it. I have the 3lt interior and it looks from your two tone seats you have the same. I’m 76 years old and love cruising in my Vette!

I’m looking into vettes bc I think I’m finally in a position to get on one soon and this video made me want an 08 so bad haha loved this video a lot

As time goes by the more special the C6 becomes. C5 is totally slept on as well.

Got my 2006 C6 with 15K miles for $28K in absolute new condition. These are great bargains.

I sat in the C5 yesterday. I would highly recommend the auto if you're over 6' tall. The foot well is really small and would be damn near impossible to shift gears in a manual. Im 6'5

The 05 corvette automatics had 4 speeds😂 I never knew that

You should the headlights aren’t a big deal if you take care of them. I’ve got an 08 Z51 and I recently changed to the c8 style headlights and they look badass. I love my vette it’s definitely worth the money

the same thing thats up with the caliper covers... a simp pretending to be a car guy.

I think the paddle shifters should have been the other way around inwards to shitf up and outwards to down would have made more sense

@@MO-wp7fb you should check it’s vin and see how many miles it has, owners etc. Also I would recommend lower miles because it’s a sports car you don’t know how it’s been driven. I live in socal I see 2006-08 vettes below 30k with lower miles. Just keep looking but then again it’s your decision
