Your steering column is not fixed, it should have a telescope steering column, or at least a tilt column. The lever is on the right underneath the column. Plus, in the glove box, you have that secret compartment where most put the Owners manual. Its a box above the glove box. I have an 06 Runner Sport Ed. You also have the trash bag holder in the back seat where in the back of the center console that pulls up. The back latches itself to prevent the window from shattering is you happen to have it down, the vibration of slamming it could cause it to crack otherwise.

You can get a nice one for around $5000 in the USA. They're probably are very few salvage title 4Runners out there because they just don't die, but if so, they'd definitely cost less than $5000. I don't know too much about prices in Canada but I'm assuming they're a little bit more expensive there
