2007 Atlanta Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Championship Round 8 (WSXGP Round 10)

This is round 8 of the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Championship, and round 10 of the 2006/2007 Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA.
Returning contenders like 2004 champ Chad Reed, defending World Supercross champ James Stewart, Travis Preston, Nick Wey, Ivan Tedesco, Michael Byrne, Tim Ferry, David Vuillemin, Nathan Ramsey, Grant Langston, Kevin Windham, and defending champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2007 Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Championship and the 2006/2007 Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP. This is Ricky Carmichael's part-time season, and is dominated by James Stewart. Ricky Carmichael makes another Supercross appearance after a 3-race vacation. Team Honda's Davi Millsaps make his Supercross debut on a 450cc 4-stroke after a femur injury sidelined him for the first portion of the series.

Well, lucky you :). I've wanted to go to a Supercross for a while, but my Dad has been saying that it wasn't worth it with the old format -- 2 heats + LCQ; now with the new format for 2014 and beyond, I am hoping I get to go to one someday.

Well, for the 2014 SX season, they're bringing back the semis and going back to 4 riders out of 2 450cc heat races, but the semis are a bit different -- if you finish in an odd-numbered position in your heat race (5th, 7th, 9th, etc.), you go into semi #2; if you finish in an even-numbered position (6th, 8th, 10th, etc.), you go into semi #1. The heat races will be 6 laps each (instead of the traditional 8 like how it was for so many years), the semis will be 5 laps, and the LCQ will be 4; the semis will take 5 guys, and the LCQ will take 4, totaling a 22-man field for the 450cc class.
