I have one that's virtually stock midnight. Blue metallic and very good to perfect condition spent a lot of time in the garage driven on special occasions and it doesn't sound like that but it's still lots of fun

Growing up my dad had this GTO that was completely matte black with a shit ton of HP and he gave it to my mother as a birthday gift. It was the fastest and loudest car we've ever had and til this day I always miss the sound that it made with it's turbo boost and everything. My dad has been a mechanic longer than I've been alive and he owns his own shop now. Sadly the transmission completely went out on it and they were forced to sell the GTO... still makes me sad.

If you close your eyes it kind of sounds like a rotary brapping on idle.

Fun fact, the 2006 GTO's were built in Australia by a brand called Holden, but they were all rebadged to be Pontiacs to have a larger lineup of cars, including the 2008 Holden Commodore would be rebadged to be the Pontiac G8

@@ClaytonHudson-vd2dk what? the car was made by holden and Australian company and the engine was made by Holden in Australian, holden is owned by GM so they have the same engine patents but the car was built-in Australian, the engine was designed in America, yes, but is a 2010 corolla a Japanese's car even though it was built in Kentucky? no its not.

Depends on what cam, but Texas speed performance has cams and G8only has a cam swap kit for like $600, install would probably be around a 1200-1500 for labor
