Thank god a video that doesn’t require me to tear my car apart. I love my civic but changing the lights shouldn’t be this annoying.

I know right. Not sure why the engineers thought it'd be a good idea to have to open up your bumper to change a bulb. Way too much hassle for something that simple if you ask me.

I have an 8th Gen Civic. I have some LEDs I ordered from DDM tuning and the mount on the bulb doesn't fit cause it's a little thicker. Do you know if the assembly can be adjusted to fit the thicker mount?

You could mod the assembly to make it fit by shaving it to make it bigger. Would I recommend doing that, no, because then you've turned your headlight housing non OEM. The Autlead bulbs in this video are a direct fit, so maybe you might want to return the ones you bought? It's up to you.

Thanks for this video. I have a Hondsa Civic 2006 model (UK). The local mechanic replaced the D2R bulb but not working. He said problem could be in the ballast. Honda said problem could be in the ingnition or control unit!! They quoted over £500 to replace the bulb. Can you please advise ? Thanks

The LED bulbs in this tutorial come with the ballast. Did your mechanic try to replace with something like this? If he did, then yeah it could be an electrical problem. Sounds about right since that's the only other thing that would power the bulbs. Maybe get a 2nd quote from somewhere else if you can't do it yourself?

Nope. Totally plug and play

Does the led cause any dashboard error light?

Nope. Direct plug and play with the stock harness. The car won't even know there's anything different going on.

Well that's sad, it looks like Autlead is either out of the bulbs right now or they aren't selling them anymore. It doesn't look like Amazon even has the pages up anymore. Sorry about that! This brand is good as well. amzn.to/30bRBPi

No focusing. The only thing you need to do (if needed) is adjust up and down like any other bulb.

Hey I have a big question more of a problem, idk if you still respond but I had halogen headlights before when I got the car and the light wasn’t reaching anywhere near the maximum distance, I could only see about 1-3 feet in front of my vehicle with light, me thinking it was the bulbs I bought led fahren headlight bulbs for both low and high beams and it still didn’t change the problem, I looked at the headlight and there is a small silver cover plate that covers the low beams and I feel as the light isn’t getting through it which is making the light very dim and not having enough distance, even with my high beams it’s not as bright and far that I can see. If anyone has any ideas or can help me I’d appreciate it a lot

Well if there's some sort of cover you think is blocking the light, try and remove that. Also, have you checked angle of the headlights? Sounds like they might need to be adjusted up, which would increase the range of the light when they are on.

@@nukem384 hmm I haven’t tried checking the angle of the light but the piece is like a chrome plastic tip and seems to come with a lot of cars and 8th gen civics I seen so I do think it comes stock like that

I don't know if you'll reply back, but I am having the same problem with mine. Brand new headlights, put the LED bulbs in and they aren't reaching the maximum distance. Even when I try to adjust them, my passenger side moves but my driver side doesn't not move at all. The lighting on the road is funky looking as well, they don't have a nice shine to them on the ground but look like beams broken up to bright not bright areas. I have no idea... Need help. @@nukem384

I bought 9006 thinking there were for the low beams, but should I get the 9005 for the low beams instead?

9006 is the correct size for the low beams. That's exactly what I have in this car. 9005 I believe is for the high beams in this car.

nukem384 I bought the 9006 though and when I took it to the mechanic they used it for the high beams instead of low. So I’m wondering if the 9005 w conversion kit will fit for the low

@@James_Be Ughhhh you should take your car somewhere else then, because they didn't do that right. 100% 9006 is for your low beams. Search anywhere online, 9006 is for low, 9005 is for high in this car.

Yup, you should be able to do the high beams the same way. Just make sure you buy the right bulbs. I believe the high beams are 9005, but please do your research for this car.

Does it come with 2 bulbs on amazon or do u have to buy 2?

Bob Joe the link is for 2 bulbs. Make sure you order the 9006 version, as the link isnt directly on 9006, but a different size bulb

Bought the wrong bulbs by following your link :( didn't fit my Civic 2006. If you use affiliate links at least update them.

justin yelverton the type of bulb, the 9006 is right there in the description, right under the link you clicked. I cant control how Autlead sets up their listings, all of their led bulbs are under one listing. I cant do absolutely everything for you...

You didn’t do anything for me 🤨 you didn’t put the right bulb in the description , and damn sure didn’t pay for it for me . Moral of the story : double check before putting things in your description , because it most certainly was the wrong item .

I didn’t need help installing headlight bulbs guy 😂. I’m a mechanic . I just couldn’t find the right bulb anywhere else . But yeah , you do that . It’d be a lot more helpful .

And again , the bulb that was “in your garbage ass description” was the wrong bulb . Whole point of my first comment . I didn’t need a how to video , I needed the right bulb . But , I found it . No thanks to your free informational video 😂

Led head light bulb connectors are stupid design not easy to fit like original

That's up to you. I didn't bother with the high beams because I literally never use them.
