It’s so exciting to get another bike and explore all of its nuances. I used all of our previous bike’s 🏍 foot 🦶 peg positions including the passenger pegs to maintain comfort on long rides. May you have many new adventures on the night rod.

A very nice pick of a bike with good power & comfort not bad for open it up therapy off the lights ....and they can do some good burn outs as well ... I recommend an ECU re-flash though.....And it sounds like your having fun with it so that's a good thing...A big thumbs up from me man well done on getting one of these

I'm super jealous, that is my favorite cruiser bike and certainly my favorite HD! How awesome is that!!! Congrats! 👍 Interesting about the tank capacity, battery and tank location! Had no idea! Did it come with that throttle lock (3:56) or was that an add on? Oh you don't know...never mind. Range to empty and an actual fuel gauge is nice! I use one of my trip odometers to track when to fill up. For the long highway hauls a wind screen would be nice. The pipe sounds amazing!!! Enjoy!!!

Cool bike VRODs great second bike There are companies that make a 5 gallon tank but they are hard to find The 2007 model got the 5gal tank and 240 tire But they are about 37 pounds heavier The other thing thing people didn’t like it’s need it’s valves adjusted 😆 Not a big deal it’s every 12k miles and they use shims like sport bikes. The 1130cc is a good motor just take care of it. The VROD went to 1247cc in 2008 The one I liked was the Street Rod it has adjustable suspension and mid controls But the dealerships always wanted a lot for them, big twin money.

Man you went and pull the trigger on this bad boy! That is so awesome! Whats the power like as the HP should be better than most Harleys even if its 1200cc. The Cruise control lever is not standard and is an add on, but great to have. Can't wait to see what you will add to the bike..

Yeah nice bike jp. Apparently the 2006 vrod were one the lowest preduction bikes said to have a lower centerpoint of gravity with a shorter rake to give the bike more control for cornering. I’ actually own 2006 streetrod thats been taken to the next level or two in regards aftermarket parts race tuned dyno’d ect there blood good bike in my eyes.

I also got NR last year, I have little bit of crotch rocket experience, by now you've figured out to get them RPMs up......4000 rpm its got power but nothing like 7000 It is much easier to get my butt off the seat and over the side than it is on my crotch rocket. Mine has 5gal tank, and if you keep it 4k and below you might get 40mpg, I'm not extremely fast rider but I love passing everybody in 2nd gear and that sucks down gas..... typically I get 37 casual riding....750crotch rocket I get 40 casual riding I got the NR because the long drawn out Sportster S just made me lose interest I took the NR on test ride.......went back to do it again......tested over an hr to check comfort on my shoulder and ribs....

It is a fun bike for sure, but i sold it to a guy when I bought a new Kawasaki KLR...wish I could have about ten bikes at once, but I only have room for two at a time. These days I have a 2018 Gold Wing non tour and the new KLR. Nest of both worlds. That GW will give you a fast smooth ride...and is very comfy doing it with all the amenities. Enjoy the NR! Great bike!

@@JP1970 got an Ultra 110ci......fast, wide glide 96ci.....not as fast.....Zuki 750 GSXS.....even more high rpm than NR, I'm usually running it 5-7k in 2-3rd in the curves Looking now at Scout new $11500 or FTR $13000, but to get 1 gotta get rid of 1
