This car looks almost just like mine. Mine has black leather. Good explanation of the car. This is the best car I've ever driven. 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. This car as well as mine has a satin silver paint that looks kinda rat rod/Shelby muscle, very sexy. I give it a 10+. Shaker1000 hits hard, love it. Steering response is amazing, it's a race car right out of the box. Sequential turn lights, that is cool. I can't say enough about this car, it'll make you feel some type of way.

Just bought one myself. It's a vert 5 speed manual trans. I'm use to driving a F250 with a 7.3l Powerstroke 5 speed manual granny low with 4:10 rear end as you can see in my profile pic. Alway wanted a GT a 90 model foxbody but hard to find. I love the foxbody looks but I like my 06 too. Love the way my 06 sounds but the sound of the 7.3l is bone crushing get the hell out of my way or you will get run over sound. The winding down of the turbo between shifts ensures you,you can pull a house down. So I guess you can say I got the best of two worlds. Great vid and love my GT!!

To answer your question in the video info, yes it is. It's more nimble than the Camaro or the Dodge House Boat I mean Challenger, but still not very good at the curves. However, the Laguna Seca Model and Shelby GT500 model can actually handle quite well, but the rest of the line up is indeed a straight line queen. I don't know whether its Mustangs themselves, their owners, or a combo of the two, but I've never liked them. Aside from my personal views of the vehicle, your reviews have always been good, but they are getting much better. Keep up the good work man.

We just bought an 05 GT with cloth seats. And glad we did. Leather seats in converts are not always good , especially black leather.

I also have a 2006 GT premium convertible (Black w/red interior, red Stripes). I have put 60k on it, no problems. This is my favorite post-classic Mustang. I was tempted to get a new 5.0 for the added power, but like the look of the S197 better. My brother worked on the exhaust for this car at Ford NVH in Dearborn.

Boost (turbo or supercharger).. power solved and kept the style you wanted

All around, this car is pretty darn handsome. The one problem I have with it, however, is the back seat. There's hardly any leg room.

It depends on how tall are you , i think that the reviewer in the video is 6'minimum . I don't know why all guys reviewing mustangs are taller than usual people :))) . I'm not so tall at 5'9 (around 176cm ) and i would really like to know how would i fit in the back seats of the mustang . In Europe there are not many mustangs so i can't just go to a dealer and seat in one of them .. :(

Not designed for rear leg room. Every mustang I can recall back to the 1980s lacks back seat comfort .

I know this is a very old video but I am pretty sure that thing on the mirror is a compass showing which direction you're going.

First of all let me say that you did an excellent job reviewing this Mustang convertible. I own a 2006 Ford Mustang convertible. It is not a V8 GT but rather a V6 Mustang but I really enjoy it nonetheless. It is my dream car and I am thrilled to own it. I really enjoyed your video review of this car. keep up the great work!

im high on helium 07 is old but 05 is older

i'm currently in the market for one of these, but haven't decided yet on convertible or not. how much louder is the vert over your coupe? How about seeing out, blindspots etc.'

+Mark Simpson It's considerably louder. I love the open top experience, but as far as visibility and wind noise goes, I'm very glad I have the coupe. Not to mention the convertibles are considerably less rigid than the coupes.

@@michaelmyersonrr9926 I ended up buying it 2 years ago. I was very lucky. The only problems I've had with it - needed to have the axle replaced. Also, make sure that there is not water damage. They are notorious for leaking into the cabin. I live in Florida and recently got caught in heavy rain for only a few minutes. Caused the smart junction box to short out. They don't make them anymore and it was very hard to find a replacement. Stiff ride - like a sports car. I have a 5-speed 4.8 GT. Very fast, tight steering, Somewhat noisy when the top is up (or down) but that's expected in a convertible of this generation. I must get weekly comments about the car. I keep it in great shape - dark blue with beige interior and top. If you want to upgrade the sound system I suggest a Pioneer. They have great units for these cars. I really did luck out with this one. Good luck!

I got mine at Wal-Mart for my 2006 mustang so easy to set up I also got one for my husband 2001 mustang and it works great for both cars

Honestly, fuel costs aren't that bad at all. I spend roughly $200-ish a month in gas using 87 octane @ $2.00 per gallon. Very rough estimate, though.

Frank G Aux input wasn't added until 2007, and it was in the center console.

Haha I've been in plenty of Camaros. I have nothing against them at all, I just prefer the Mustang. However, if I were shopping brand new 5.0 vs a brand new Camaro SS, the Camaro gets my money without a second thought.

Shaker sounds loud and that's about it...i changed mine to a full Pioneer 2 Din BT and all the speakers in it, added a real sub and discarded the Shaker....that OEM stereo system is full of electrical gremlins, it drains the battery, it shortcuts the alternator, and makes the gauges flicker....

What is is with yanks using the word pop , why don’t you use the word open instead , god the American accent is irritating after a while
