2006-2012 Mercedes Benz GL x164 DVD screen replacement
This tutorial is for the replacement of the actual screen of the factory available rear DVD entertainment unit. If you are replacing the whole unit, just follow the instructions in the beginning of the video. The cost estimates given in the video are based on available units at that time. Actual new costs are much higher. Hence, no link in this description of available products.... unfortunately. I try to provide tutorials of the average things I do from time to time. Hopefully it will be useful to some.

Great video. Will be doing this on my '10 GL550, both screens broken. Screen part # is LQ080Y5DR04 (ebay it). I've found online sellers who claim this same part # works for both headrest monitor styles for 07-12 164 ML/GL & R-class, however can't confirm.

This doesn't work for my 07 gl450 it has different screens

That's quite possible. I don't know how many different varieties there are.

@@dhirsch1975 i wish it did man i just bought a new one because i had a ladder inmy back seat and it smashed the one that's installed already :( i need to figure out how to replace it with the new one
