Ditto lol I have always hated them being on. I never thought about pulling the damn fuze until just recently. Had the car since 2018

Good info, I never paid much mind to the headlights, but I decided to get new assemblies and opted to upgrade to, projectors with halo, and change them to LEDs, and I always assumed, the running lights were separate bulbs, not the high beams running on low power. so this neat advice on eliminating that feature.

Blackout mode easy as fuck appreciate it man i hate having lights on unless i put em on and theres no other way to turn the lights off completely

have led’s in my 2010 and never had an issue with flickering

So on this vehicle, (I have a 2011 civic lx sedan) in theory after you pull this fuse, you could throw in some 9005 LEDs for the high beams and have them work just fine as high beams without the need for the decoder/resistor thing?

Try pulling the parking brake and then turn the car on. That should work

Why doesn’t mine stay off even when parking brake is on?

Yes the brights still work like normal. Just gets rid of the daytime running lights.

@@RoadMisfit187 the issue I’m facing is my ac button doesn’t light up hence the ac doesn’t turn on . The green light flickers in the background most of the time when i try to turn on the ac . Occasionally the light come on and the ac starts working . Very weird . I was thinking it’s the fuse

You need to look at the fuse box diagram, it will be marked DRL

Will I lose my high beams when pulling this fuse or will those DLRs still come on with high beam setting?

Never heard of such a thing. I have done this to all my Honda vehicles Civic, Accord, CRV and S2000 and never had a problem. @@evanwillhite5830

Sounds like bad luck, or someone thought that accidental momentary short from the power to ground while extracting the fuse wouldn’t hurt anything… It’s what they don’t tell you.

But can highbeam still work

Yes the highbeams still work. You are only disabling the drl

It's Fuse number 37 but the fuse itself is a 7.5amp fuse

Why don't u like DRL why it's bothering u? I put a like on yr video coz I learnt that it belongs to fuse #37. 🙂

Doesn't having the DRL indicator light blinking when the car is off run down your battery? Plus running the battery down while the car is running, as well?

You lost me when I saw you using pliers to pull the fuse. Who does this? Every fuse box has a plastic fuse removal tool meant for this purpose.
