    I’ve had my Rincon 650 up to 60 mph on a gravel road and it started getting very loose. Probably could have gone faster but I didn’t want to wreck.

    I have a 2003 Rincon. Its my first atv, and love the machine. Mine is red, I really like the black ! I used truck bed liner on my racks as I was not wild about the metal look of the racks against the red/black plastics. Painting the racks and the front plate really made the machine look sharp. They are light, I believe maybe 600 lbs compared to some of the polaris / can ams which are pushing 1000 maybe ?

    @P. C. They are awesome machines and very light for the size of the motor. I bet painting those things black did make it sharp looking!

    You think the transmission is robust enough to handle plowing? Found on that they've used for plowing, but I'm left wondering if that would have caused any damage.

    I’ve seen quite a few people plow with them. My cousins up the road from me has one and plows with chains on and it’s never had any transmission problems.

    @Rocks Powersports ok, thanks for the reply. I appreciate it a lot. If you were going to pick between this and a 09 Sportsman 500ho, which takes it?

    @@Nicwah what are you planning on using the atv for? Both machines are good. If your using for utility I would go with the Polaris as it has a dedicated low range and is heavier which helps for traction. If trail riding the sportsman will ride very smooth and have good power but won’t be as “playful” as the lighter Honda. As far as resale goes Polaris holds there value pretty good but Honda holds the value a lot more.

    @Rocks Powersports mainly for utility and ice fishing trips, I can see eventuality get into more trail riding.

    @@Nicwah Honestly I think the Polaris would be a good fit for you then in my opinion.

    I’ve got one of these, it was in great shape until the barn feel over on the back end of it (tornado)… it’s problem is it won’t shift into drive… any ideas?

  • @rockspowersports

    @rockspowersports

    Жыл бұрын

    @JD Calame Oh wow sorry that happened to you! When you move the shifter to drive does it just do nothing or is it grinding? I would say check your shift linkage and make sure it didn’t get bent during the barn incident. If it’s just grinding when you try to put it in gear the engine could be just idled up to high. These Rincons are very finicky with the idle for shifting.

    @@rockspowersports sounds good. It drives and shifts good you can get it in gear if you try hard enough but the more it warms up the worse it gets- it does grind. I’ll check the idle too. Thanks!

    @JD Calame Yeah if yours is the 650 carbureted version, it’s very easy to adjust the idle on the carburetor. You may want to make sure you have some slack in the throttle cable also.

    Any help would be appreciated. I changed all fluids with genuine Honda fluids. New plug fresh non ethanol gas. Had a choke issue waiting on the parts now. No engine noise it just lacks power. I did the spring clip mod in the carb and it got a little better. I’m mechanically inclined but right now I have tons of projects going on but I want to get it running great. I love Honda so I won’t give up.
