Grand Lady excels beyond the standard tradition of the 42EU with numerous upgrades and modifications required by the owner before he took possession. The owner of this vessel is a retired Marine Engineer who was commissioned by the British military on design and acceptance of a specialized warship. As you can see, Grand Lady has been meticulously cared for. Maintenance recorded with exacting logs, that we found impressive, some of the best records that we’ve seen; and if all of that is not enough, she is protected in a boat house, maintaining her like new condition.

last month, he sold a 1998 Chevy Malibu Classic for 25.000, with only 250.000 miles on it. cold a/c all leather interior, and optional teak ash tray.
The Mister Rogers of Boat Salesmen! Gets equally thrilled out of selling a $50K boat as he does a $2mill vessel!
Love these Grand Banks! But my budget makes me a single engine, tug/trawler type of vessel owner. I’ve got lots of time, but less money, so I need to go slow (6 - 7 knots) on a single Diesel, and I need to go far (3,000 nm range at six knots - with 10% reserve) and I need to do off shore passages! There are very few boats that accommodate this and sleep 4 comfortably, in three separate sleeping areas (two cabins and the salon) - old men don’t like to bunk up! I’ve got a lot to see and do yet, as I became a dad at a very young age, and now, at 64, it’s time for me to see some of the world. My intent is to leave the Great Lakes and make my way to Florida and the Bahamas for a season. The following season will find me exploring the Caribbean as I make my way ever southwards! then it’s the coast of several South American countries on my way to Brazil! Crazy? No way! It’s a five year plan and will entail the use of several crew swaps for the major passages, as the next few years pass! I’ve got a handful of buddies in a similar situation, so crew will be easy. I’ll be fighting them off! We’ll be blogging under my existing “Old Men and the Sea” handle thru my web-site of the same name. The Great Lakes are truly an inland ocean, but I’m dying to get salty and see some Palms! The adventure begins in spring of 2022, God willing, on a Nordic Tug 42’ named the “Alverda June” (my English mother’s name) Yea-haw! Some old Canuck hicks meet “the Caribbean Yacht scene - should generate some big laughs! Peace
It's 2am. I can't sleep. I'm watching the Bob Ross of yacht sales. Beautiful boat and great presentation and drone shots.
A gorgeous boat and a great presentation by someone with the experience to appreciate the value of the features.
"Look at these cleats..." Well, he's pretty good...the best on YT for presenting a yacht...
This guy's my fav boat salesman. Very detailed
Fantastic editing, goes back and forth between cruising and tied to the dock. All smooth and professional. Great job.. Nice boat too

I always enjoy your presentation of various Yachts. It is educational and interesting. Not all Yacht brokers are as meticulous as you are. Thank you very much.

When smooth crosses the line to become bullshit.
The way this gentleman says “teak” I was sold after the 2nd “teak”.... all the teaks after that were just sealing the deal/showing off
These vessels are amazing. When I retire next year I am going to be in the market for one, the quality is insurmountable compared to others I’ve seen.

This is the Teak Guy again, love him!. Solid teak, guys! It’s in more places then we realize. Teak is everywhere, if you have an eye for it, and just come in and take a look guys. Just look at this. It’s beautiful! This is all beautifully finished teak.

Teak is a huge difference maker I worked as a young law clerk in an office that was being remodeled They finished the whole place with teak furniture and the smell and feel and look of the place was amazing Boats need teak
I love the oak finish on that boat !
I keep coming back to GB they just have everything we want and need.
This boat is beautiful. Simple & elegant. Classic lines.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. Such a detailed walk through several makes and models of boat and a good, relaxed style of showing the boats. I don't enjoy watching boat review videos where I feel like a salesman is trying to sell me on the boat but would rather watch someone who's relaxed and low pressure in their approach. I live in Juneau, Alaska, and have been sailing here for 30 years now, so I'm well aware of what's desirable for a boat in the PNW. Keep up the good, high quality videos. I feel as if I've stepped onboard with a friend!

@@calibreyachtsales You're welcome. I also enjoy the thoroughness of your videos, taking time to show the systems and the things that are well thought out. Many people online just rush thru the boats and skip over things like access panels for wiring and the access to the engine area, etc. Best of luck with future sales and future videos.
I love this boat and i love this little cute goofy man.

Jack Paul : Not so little. Don’t forget he is 6’1”. Actually he’s claimed to be 6’2” in his other presentations. And to think, I was just about to start trusting him!!!!!! 🤣 Dear Richard, please clear this height situation up for us one and for all. Perhaps it is really 6’1-1/2”?
Great walk through many have a lot to learn from you.
Very nice video and a beautiful Grand Lady, thanks for sharing.
Very classy and timeless yachts. Im noticing a trend grand banks = beautiful
I'm not that interested in boats, but I can listen to this bloke all day.
I know very little about yachts. But I can say with conviction that if I could afford one, it would be this one because a) this boat is AWESOME, and b) the presentation was spectacular and the presenter is genuine and passionate about his product. Instant sub.

lovely boat !
Despite what all the armchair "experts" are saying about this particular vessel , I would give my left , no , my right , wait ! , that ones already gone It'll have to be the left, proverbial to own such a beautiful piece of nautical craftsmanship ! One day she WILL be mine , oh yes ,she will be mine ! Thank you Sir for such a professional and entertaining run down on what can only be described as one "GRAND LADY" .

This gentleman is so good at what he does he could walk along a trail an see a bear scat an sell it to you an make you think you got a deal.
Has some nice features.
The Perry Como of yacht sales!!
No doubt about it, the Grand Banks is the Caddy of boats, especially in this size. However, the teak would drive me nuts with maintenance. Looks good, but a TON of work. Even thought a Mainship 430 isn't quite the quality, it made a more practical boat, same performance, close to the same features and benefits, and models with after cabin or bigger cockpit. And NO exterior work maintenance. Also about $100K less.
I love these videos
feel the Teak Robert ! feel that teak for me :)

LOOKIE there JETHRO..... Isn't that PLYWOOD just SPLENDID....
Please find another one of these for me, Richard!
I once owned a motor home, a yacht of wheels you might say, but a huge money pit. Now, I don't flich when putting a $100 into a slot machine, but this vehicle was beyond the pale. This yacht is beautiful but the cost of purchase is the beginning of sorrows. This is past the reach of even well to do people.
The interior is nice, but it gorgeous or beautiful. It seems adequate.which is just fine.
Does this come with any teak? Just curious.
That hardtop is thee selling point
Richard, a great presentation, thank you. I have two questions, delivery time to East coast of Australia and the Oman generator can it be 240 volt model? I live in Melbourne, Australia.
Presenter just great..
I love her

I loved how safe you can feel if you walk on deck around cabin... i didnt like all this wood inside and this small fridge... But as a concept it is one of my favorites ive ever seen on you tube... In case though you might know please answer these 2 questions for me; 1. With a boat like that can i install a bigger fridge and wash machine? 2. Is it possible to install solar panel to use for energy so that i can travel without the cost of fuel. Ok and 3 one; With a boat of level can someone cross the Atlantic??? Thank you.

where can i get plywood teak for my boat - is that hybrid?
If I got $5 for every time this guy says "teak, beautiful or brilliant" I could afford this boat.

I lost $5 because when showing the sliding teak door on the cockpit he didn't say "brings the inside out and the outside in"
I'd bet he's a good salesman!
Richard could sell the Devil a bible. As always a terrific video.
Why is the emphasis on teak, cocktails, and wine storage? I'm getting the impression that many of these boats never leave the harbor. They sit tied to a pier and entertain guests.
I did forget to ask is there any teak ??
Hey Scott and Savagecub...why split hairs? It's a gorgeous boat.
What kind of wood was that ? I don’t believe you mentioned..........
