All chevy owners can appreciate this video good job
We got a 2005 Z71 suburban not too long ago with only 80K miles on it, got a modern carplay system on it too.. It's pretty much new and it's been amazing, super comfortable and perfect for long drives. Love the power from the V8 as well. Feels built like a tank.

@@dammitcarl1082 Thanks color is Pewter, amazingly it hasn’t faded or clear coat peel you see on so many GMT800. Yours sounds great! Could always use more power from the 5.3 but a great reliable engine!
Love it. I have a 2005 Z71 version. I've taken that thing down dirt roads, mud, snow, you name it, and it never once got stuck. I've plowed through 5 foot snow drifts without breaking a sweat. Moved homes 3 times with it, and didn't need to rent a U-haul. Unfortunately, the frame is rotting, so I finally have to get rid of it soon. I'm hoping it gets me through one more winter. Good luck with yours, maybe treat the frame with fluid film or something to protect against rust.
Can’t go wrong. I love mine. I have a 9 seater. 2nd owner. 175k miles with a few extra goodies.
I found a 2001, 2 owner, 70k miles, 4x4 2500 Suburban. I already left a deposit, will buy tomorrow.

@JavierBonillaC

@bentleydavis6915 Turned out to be a 4x2, but I still bought it for 5K. It's in amazing shape. Some minor issues that I'll fix but for that price!
Great review! I was brought home from the hospital in 2005 in one of these, still one of my favorite vehicles to this day. Our school still has one but its used less and less because of the new pos traverse. Old Suburbans ride is so much better than the new stuff plus so much more space.
I'm planning on getting one of these as my first car and I sure do love an older Tahoe. Even though I'm a Ford guy, this truck also has been one of my dream cars and I've found one with 300k miles on it. I couldn't find any other Suburban/Tahoe with less than 200k-300k miles.
I sold my 2001 Denali XL and regret that, so I buy another one again, three months later The best suvs to travel, more reliable easy to fix parts are cheap, I never going to let it go, promise

Picked up an 06 yukon xl for 2900 bucks a few weeks back. Scored!
I have an 03 suburban in mint condition. I bought it on 2021. It's fully loaded leather, sunroof and all the cool stuff. Only thing I did is last year in 2022 I had the engine and trans fully custom built. I'm pushing around 550 HP with the 337 LS. No Turbo and or SuperCharger. I love my Suburban man. I get around 18 MPG on the built engine. Mine is also black with Dark windows. You should tent your window man. It would look really sweet
Bought my 03 suburban for $1900, like $300 to get it running. Gosh I love it. Tows my Camper really well too. Been off-road, been on road trips, hauled all sorts of stuff in the back or on the roof rack.
I found a 2006 Chevy suburban for 8k today and I’m buying it

Nice ride! Once you have a Suburban, you can never be without one! Try and fix the bit of rust, they get the vehicle heavily sprayed with a lanolin based light paste oil such as Fluid Film. This will really extend the life of your ride. We have a 1996 and 2001 Suburban, borh with no rust thanks to these treatments. Enjoy your truck, you made the right choice!
the old school trucks and black metal got a like and follow from me----respect
I love Suburbans for the same reason I loved my old 2004 Honda Odyssey.
I have 2001 Yukon Xl from new and have no plans of getting rid of it. Love that thing. I got it because of the hauling capacity for passengers and cargo. And I take it on unpaved roads, snow and sand and it handles everything with ease. My second row arm rest has a large tray in it also unlike yours with just the cup holders and it comes in handy. You made the right choice going with the Suburban over a Tahoe since you wanted maximum capacity. The Tahoe is too small for more than 5 passengers because the 3rd row is really cramped. The 3rd row in the Suburbans have a foot well whereas the Taboes don't so it's almost like sitting on the floor. So with the 3rd row in, you have barely any trunk space unlike the Suburban. And lastly. This body style I personally think look the best when upgraded with some rims and aggressive tires. And if you want to take it a few steps further with a lift and other mods. They look like they mean business. The newer body styles after these look nice but they do not look mean.
Nice rig man, the "Squishy" aspect is my favorite too👍🏽
My wife and I bought 1 in OKC in 2021 and we like it

I loved my 2004 Suburban. Super comfortable and nice to drive plus it had 246k miles with no issues when I sold it. The only reason I got rid of it was because of the gas mileage lol. The gas ALONE on that thing cost more than my 2019 Camry’s car payment, gas, and insurance COMBINED.

If you plan on towing get a 2004 or older. They changed the rear axle ratios in 2005 and significantly decreased the towing capacity.

The newer ones after 07 or something like that have that active fuel management so the throttle response is slower cause they don't run on all cylinders most of the time. Got 250k on mine paid $3100 almost 4 years ago when it had 215k. Needed some work. Rear main seal, shocks, bump stops, brake lines, ABS module, upgraded the wheels and tires so I'm into it for about 11k total. Goes down the road like a new truck. When they get old they nickel and dime you a bit but maintenance will never get more expensive than what new Suburban's are selling for and they're easy trucks to work on. The only issue is rust so I'm getting the rockers and rear quarters done before winter. The frame is still decent but needs some attention but it'll last another 4 plus years most likely. Getting to 2027 on a 2005 truck in the northeast is pretty good. At that point I'll probably spend 10 to 12k on another 2005ish Suburban from Texas or some other salt free state and have it shipped here. 80 to 90k for new SUV's is too much.

Oh my goodness, if I’m thinking “Regency” correctly, I believe that’s a custom conversion company. And if you truly got a suburban with a regency package, those are not factory options. Regency I believe, like I said is a custom conversion Company that worked with older SUVs and helped to create conversion vans as well. Like I said I could be talking out my ass, but if I’m correct, you got yourself a very rare, and gorgeous 2005 Chevy suburban. And depending on how the previous owner had it customized, it could be the only one in its existence that is exactly the way it is
