2005-2019 Tacoma Wheel Bearing Replacement Toyota Front Hub Assembly

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 Had a loud humming noise coming from the front. Passenger wheel bearing was bad and had play. Time for a new wheel bearing! Its much easier to replace as a whole hub & bearing assembly.
This is on a 2wd but is also the same concept for a 4x4 bearing assembly replacement minus having to remove the front axle nut.
This applies for:
Toyota Tacoma 2005 - 2019
Toyota 4Runner 2003 - 2019
Toyota Fj Cruiser

    i hear a metalic rattle out of my 2018 Tacoma, when i go over speed bumps or turn or go over a rocky road it has a thing metalic rattle. When I go over speed bumps in shopping centers it does it, but only when the back set of wheels go over it never when the front tires go over the speed bump. I'll look for a video of someone doing the rear ones just to see how different they are. Thank you, this video is extremely clear and helpful.

    @@FixItPhillip how to determine whether to buy a 400$ Hub assembly or a 100$ Hub assembly. Are there cheaply made Hub assemblies?

  • @FixItPhillip

    @FixItPhillip

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@scottwalker7939 yes there are cheaply made ones and good toyota ones and everything in between. The dorman one in my experience is a decent aftermarket one. I would suggest getting it from a local auto parts store instead of online. Just in case you have one fail prematurely its allot easier to warranty it than dealing with online puchase.

    $196 or $198 + taxes price area. For Org. Toy factory replacement. My TK is 4x4 might make little difference. I priced one this evening 05/30/22. Price went up little from last replacement. I have better luck myself using Toy parts appear last longer. But each there own.

    Could be starting to go bad. One way you can check is to buy a mechanic stethoscope. Lift the vehicle. Spin the front tires 1 at a time by hand and listen to the backside of the spindle at the bearing. compare the noise and see if one is louder than the other
