Almost 6 years after the conclusion of the KUN26R Toyota HiLux and almost 16 years after its original introduction, how does this vehicle stack up as a used purchase today?
Also, how does it compare with its competitors of the same era?
This review comes after owning a KUN26R HiLux for the last 2 years and having owned all of the mainstream competitors to the HiLux from the 2005 4x4 diesel utility period except the Holden Colorado/Isuzu D-Max (which is also addressed in this review).
What has experience of owning a used Hilux been like and, if I was considering buying a used utility vehicle from this period, would I consider a HiLux again?
