Amazing how tough motorcycles are. If you know what your doing, you can get a crashed bike fixed relatively quick compared to a car

Dpeneds on a crash. You can't loop a car & if a bike slams into a guard rail. It'll be a write off as the frame will take alot of damage. Can only be welded by a pro if it's cracked.
You make it look so easy! Props to you man. I took my 04 r1 apart in the hopes of working on in the winter but life happened and now it's at the shop 🙃

I did the same engine out forgot how to put it bk together 😂😂😂
it's honestly wild to me beyond belief that you can strip a motorcycle clean and know where all the wires, bolts and nuts and everything goes back meanwhile I'm too scared to even snip one wire off of my motorcycle lmao

In all honesty though, if he screws up and doesn't remember where something goes he can always check the footage. lol

Once you work on them enough they are all so similar kinda like how it’s similar to guy a deer and a squirrel. Sure there are some differences but for the most part they all have the same parts

Yeah he’s a bad bad man. He brought my 02’ 955i back from the brink of death when everyone else couldn’t or said scrap it. He’s the only technician that I’ll go to time and time again! Love this dude brah.

Bikes are pretty easy when you’ve done it a time or two.
A 636 at 6:36 you're a dork. Appreciate the upload. I just picked up a 06 and I'll be doing a rebuild as well. You're inspiring me to make a video on it.

Fantastic work! I have that same bike in my garage and love it. Such a beautiful design and the exhaust under the seat keeps your butt warm on cold nights. Not so great on warm days, but nothing a shower will not fix. Thank you for bringing it back to its original beauty. Makes me want to take mine out for a ride.
of all the rebuild I've watched you're the guys i trust....i like the nice minute cleanup you've done......part replacement seems trust worthy.....love your video......keep making bike videos....... I've watched some of your videos for like 3-4 times like for same video to calm my mood and be satisfied.......loved from india

Such a nice work! I brought my R1 2004 in 2010 and have it still now. I love this bike with all my heard. It was my dream and come true. It was such a pleasure 2 watch you working on this bike and i learn an important thing. I do the oil change every spring by my own but never before i fill up the oilfilter when i change him. I will do this from now on becourse i think it is better for the engine if the oil is faster where it have to be. So thx from germany.
Amazing results, well done to you 👌👍 Enjoy all the content, keep up the brilliant work 👍 watching all the way here in Scotland 🏴

This is better than any ASMR ever! Gladly subscribed, looking forward to more vids! That generation of R1 is, and always will be, timeless looking. It's only second to the Big Bang restyled version (only because they removed the glass from the headlights). It still looks better than any modern R1 !

Thanks brother! plenty more videos like this to come! And I have to agree the styling of this bike is on point!
LISTENING TO IT WHEN IT TURNS ON IS LIKE THE CALM BEFORE THE HURRICANE 😂🎉😮😮❤😂😂❤
That's damned good profit. The oldies are holding good value in 2022. I had the same bike and colour 10 years ago and think it is one of the best Yam gens ever. Great build Sir👍🏻

Just discovered your channel on this video. And I love it!!! Absolutely going to continue following.
I can't believe what you just did! Great job! Thank you for sharing, I was watching and asking how can it be possible... and step by step it happened... amazing! When I was much younger I wanted to learn how to assemble and disassemble bikes, but it didn't happen and now it's too late. OK, let's see in the next life 😄
Great upload. I always enjoy your work! Super looking ride.
Szép munka! Gyönyörű lett az R1!
My favorite moment is at 6:36
That looks like so much fun.... building it
Truly an inspiration to see how you conduct your work, great video!
This is a phenomenal video for reference. I am actually in the process of doing the exact thing with 2005 R1. I got the bike back up and running and fixed the engine light issues. Now I just need to fix the brakes and work on plastics
Phenomenal work on such a beautiful bike! Owning an ‘06 R1 is high on my bucket list. I love my MT09 but the ‘06 R1 bike just might be my all time favorite.
That R1 style is the best bike from Yamaha
This video was an absolute eye opener for me and an inspiration. This last week I took apart my 150cc scooter as a first project to try and fix it. Great start to bike mechanics though 🏍
Watching this video reminded me of those lifetime movies where things start off bad, but the movie closes with a happy ending. Thank you for giving this bike a second chance and a new home.

I am addicted to your channel. Love your videos man. Keep it up.❤️
Wow that bike sounds amazing! So deep and smooth, not farty and crackly like what most have nowadays.
Excellent job Rob. Came out so nice. Consider getting in the habit of hitting a timer, physical or electronic, whenever you start work on a bike to make certain you are profitable. Lets call those billable hours. Once you've done a few, you'll be able to measure those hours into how much you actually earn an hour and ultimately become even more efficient in your process to achieve greater profitability. Just a thought. Again, great work and you've inspired me to pickup my first damaged bike!

If you have a background in auto, these things just seem like oversimplified vehicles. Real easy and simple to work on. Spend 30 bucks on a a manual and you are off.
Excellent! Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷
You did a brilliant job getting that R1 back to mint condition, 👏 👍

I am doing the same thing to an 06 r1. Cool to see another same gen r1 rebuild.
Wow!! You did a great job getting that bike restored!! I'm about to take on a 2007 R6 build. And I think I just might (accidentally) throw an R1 motor I have laying around into it. Whoops! LOL
Show parabéns pelo trabalho 👏👏
Great video and thanks for posting. I have the exact year bike in candy red. Some great maintenance tips from your strip down and rebuild. Well done on all the work…..👍
the sound of exhaust is awesome
A work of art. You make it look easy. 😂
Sweet work🏁🏁🏁
Very smart n agood mechanic good job
Great job man🙌🏻❤️
Nice and solid exhaust note.
Excellent video. I like the way you speed things up, just cut to the chase, stop talking, and repair the bike. That was awesome. I get impatient when they talk too much on a build.
Turned out great!
Great job ♥️
Awesome my dude i love your videos ! That bike sounds hungry :D
