2004 World Cup Of Hockey

Hockey glory for Canada once again! The 2004 World Cup of Hockey proved once again that, while other nations have had their day, on-ice supremacy begins and ends with the Great White North. This DVD celebrates Canada's amazing undefeated performance in the 8-team tournament that captivated the hockey world in September 2004, when they reigned supreme over Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA, Russia, Sweden, and Germany.

Remember when broadcasting a hockey game in HD was something that was worth mentioning? 2004, what a time in history! :p

I remember watching the entire event and I was happy Joe Thornton played for Canada, he was my new favourite Bruin at the time. Seeing Canada win vs Finland was my early birthday gift. My birthday was on September 15th.

Feels like 100 years ago. I am so old that I remember a 1976 pre CC match between Sweden and Finland. My first TV memory. What was very cool over the years was game 3 in the 1996 finals.

"...on-ice supremacy begins and ends with the Great White North" Rather strange expression, for given the population distribution of Canada, they were about the southernmost team in the whole tournament.

As great as the 2002 Salt Lake team was, and as rightly revered as they are, this team I think was even stronger. You didn’t have guys like Yzerman, Shanahan, Lindros or Fleury anymore, but you had the Tampa trio with St. Louis, Richards and Lecavalier, an even better Jarome Iginla, Sakic was still Sakic, Mario was still Mario. Phenomenal depth at all positions

Alot more legends 2002, Belfour, Joseph, Pronger, McInnis, Blake, Karyia and Nieuwendyk aswell. Brad Richards, Lecavalier and Heatley had like 3 years of prime.

best Canadian team of all time!? I am a red wings fan but come on Draper and maltby on a national team. This is kind of a joke team. Mario was one of the greatest but he was too slow for this tournament in 2004. This team is nowhere near as good as the 96 team.
