Hello I have sienna 2005 is getting Po442. I have replaced the gas cap but same issue. Are you able to fix it by replacing it VSV valve ?

Interesting thing is Toyota also sells all those valves as a set pre-mounted on a new bar complete with the U-shaped hoses already installed for about $250. Those valve take a beating sitting on top of the engine with all the heat rising up directly on them. Not the smartest layout.

Just change the purge valve on my 2003 highlander it is on the charcoal canister under the rear of the car

Looks like the TSB is for 04 only.

My sienna has the exactly the same codes, I already change the fuel ⛽️ tank cover and still the same problem. I’ll changing this part. ( what’s the part’s name ?

Vacuum Switching Valve aka purge valve.

@@rkgsd I replaced that part with a Toyota part also and still the same code evaporator small leak detected. Idk what else to do. Do u think it could because the remote start ???

what lead you to believe that valve is not working? there're four valves total.

Use 90 degree angled phillips to get in there and not have to take all that other stuff loose.

No P0300 misfire. only, Maybe more than one cylinder
