    There actually very reliable in my experience. The rear swing arm bushings will wear out if it was ridden hard and you will notice slop in the rear end. it’s not a huge deal but can be pricey to have someone change them out. As far as engine and transmission go there usually very solid units. There a lot of fun to trail ride, however without a low range there not great at towing or plowing. It’s can be done just not as good as a machine with a low gear.

    I trail ride with a kfx400 that has been geared lower with the air box mod etc. I lift the front effortlessly to get through puddles and get over trees. I'm thinking about an 09 scrambler. Will it pick up the front end easily?

  • @rockspowersports

    @rockspowersports

    The scrambler will lift the front end pretty easy but not as easy as your kfx. Remember you have the weight of the 4x4 system in the front of the scrambler.

    Trying to decide if I should buy an 09 Scrambler and put a snow plow and hitch on it. I know it won't go like my kfx but...hoping it would still be fun. I tend to pick up the front to keep dry and cross ditches and trees. I found another ltz in excellent condition so finding it hard to decide.

    I've flown very long accidentally. If you land it correctly your fine. The lighter you are, the better it will land. Set your rear shock accordingly. I've rode mine 20 years with 2 front suspension tuneups, 2 new front struts and a new rear axle from a hillclimb roll my son did. $350 in parts...And back on the trail feeling like new. 2002 500 Scrambler X H.O. in 2 wheel drive...135 pounds lighter than 4x4. Faster and easier to jump with well.

    The HO is usually designated somewhere on the decals usually after the 500 you’ll see an HO. The ho just has a more aggressive camshaft and bigger carb. Pricing all depends on condition. I sold this one for $2600 but it was in very nice shape. I’ve seen some that are beat up go for as cheap as $1000.

    J'ai eu un 2004.mais si ça aurait été un 500 cc deux temps je l'aurai garder ça c'est sûr car fun à piloter mais un 500 cc 2 temps, peux dire que ça aurait changer la done, j'aurai opté pour un moteur de 500cc deux temps au lieu de sortir des scrambler avec des cylindrés et poids démesurés et suspension indépendantes et à shaft drive,on est rendu avec une machine de 800 lbs.. Le 1000 XP il aurai fallu qu'il dépasse pas 570 lbs comme les anciens 500 mais c'étais impossible, ou faire un 800 cc avec essieu rigide et entrainement final par chaine pour le faire maigrir et garder le look de l'ancien à part lui changer les lumières un comme le outlaw de 2009 -2010, en 2010 Polaris avait changer le look du scrambler 500 mais j'ai toujours dit qu'ils avaient scier un outlaw et un sportsman 500 en deux et ils les avaient collé ensembles ;,au lieu de continuer à les améliorer ils ont arrêter la production des 500 pour se garocher dans des projets de gros quad coûteux et pas vendables et surtout les sides by sides que je maudit depuis toujours..Polaris sont comme GM dans l'automobile ils sautent d'un projet à l'autres sans essayer d'en améliorer un...
