Due your homework, the older pre emissions (03 and under) Mack engines are great engines inside of very solid trucks. If that truck runs and drives and can pull a load its worth 10k all day long in just parts. Look for the square nose mack that you see alot of logging companies run. I think its the CH Mack.

I would buy that truck in a heart beat... there is a check valve that goes bad thats why the fuel runs back to the tank when parked long...thoese E7 engines are bullet proof...just get rid of the egr and that truck will run. The less u change oil the longer the engine run. Drove one for 10yrs in the carribean and all we did...was oil change and brakes...couple sensors here and there...but never left us strident on the road.

Keep an extra clutch cable. They break often. But definitely minimum issues. Just find someone who works on Macks regularly. You won't have to many issues.

I just bought a 04 Mack cx613 no def no dpf and I paid exactly $9500 for it too

Just put Diesel in the fuel filter it will crank up

If that truck is right it’ll prime up by turning the engine over a few times like your going to start it but just keep turning it over and the fuel should rise up on that filter if not then something else is wrong with it.

Mack’s are tough and can take a beating I know because I drove one for a company and they never did a oil change until I got it lol.. But that rough start at the beginning ehhh idk.. Me personally I wouldn’t spend my money on a Mack 🤷🏻‍♂️

Egr coolers... And keep one of them spinner oil filter housings on deck cuz they could without warning ⚠️

$9000 is too much. Get it down to $6500. Bc tires alone will run u $4500 plus redo all hoses fuel lines sending unit air bags shocks etc. put about $15 grand if it don’t need an overhaul u golden.

@@ChasingAndrewJackson the point is I wouldn’t pay a lot for that truck. You see an engine that dirty some one just drove it and didn’t care about cleaning it so that tells me they had no pride and just don’t care. I wouldn’t hire a driver that treated a truck like that. J S.

@@ChasingAndrewJackson the truck maybe on the cheap side but there was issues with the fuel tank, breaks, fuel system, bald tires everywhere, suspension and you didn’t even know what if any problems the engine may have. That’s a big list for anybody especially a guy like you who likes to keep moving. Just my thought brother

Ok.. is Andrew looking for a new truck? This will be funny. Maybe he will look at a few trucks and then probably I think he will end up picking the ugliest worst truck they have that will be the most brokendownist this truck ever. Love it!
