I keep coming back to this video. I really hope whoever bought this rover has taken super good care of it!

I drove 8 hours to buy one in Kansas City from a woman in 2021. A 2003 with 41k miles, single owner, and literally brand new inside and out. Like the plastic cover was still on the floors from the dealership when it was new. The paper tags where still in the glovebox, along with the records of all 6 oil changes it had had since it was new. It belonged to her husband who bought it new in 2003 and died in 2019. It had been kept in a shop on their ranch for 90% of it's life, out of the sun. She called it their "church going" car. It had also not been driven in 2 years when I went to get it, and was covered in a tarp in their shop. When I say shop, I do not mean a barn. It was in a finished shop with concrete floors and climate controlled with 3 other cars. It is, hands down, the best condition D2 I have ever seen. And I paid $12k for it. Changed all fluids and tuned it up when I got it, and put a 180 thermostat in it. Zero issues in 2 years of being a daily driver.

Hands down one of the best condition “driven” D2 I’ve seen outside of a dealer showroom. 🙌🏼…… oh you forgot to insert “that’s what she said” … ‘feels bigger than it really is’. 😭 when describing the D2 interior space. LoL

This is just as good as the 2000 I purchased. One owner, 83k miles and no rust. Everything was impecable EXCEPT the roof windows. The actual lining LR insalled was extremely thin. I had to remove everything and load some marine silicone. Its been solid since.

i had one with the lighter green, it was an 03 with the black interior, great video, all the noises like the starter sound brought so many memories back, RVA rover shouldn’t sell it (like how you said your going to try and get a d2 and now your the highest bidder on the truck 😂)

You are right, that is a nice Disco. Been well looked after too. The rear audio controls probably will not work with an after market radio. There does not seem to be any ACE either. The NAS spec seems to be very odd sometimes. I bought some of those cupholders for my D2. Love 'em!

I bought an '01 in 2007 that was in better shape than this and had all the bells and whistles including ACE. It also had the CDL but I had to hook it up. It's got 190k on it now and I still daily drive it. Yea I did head gaskets, drive-shaft, air springs + compressor, 3 Amigos, wiper switch and a few of the other commons but it's been everywhere both on and off road and always got me home. Building a new 4.6 for it now with top-hat liners and plan on keeping it forever.

Very nice I have the V8 but with manual and glass headlights and they should make it again instead of the new overpriced crap

The only car with great overview and the only car you can put your arm on the sill while the pedals and steering wheel are off centre

It’s not a ‘rear wheel drive’! It has constant 4 wheel drive. The plastic battery/jack cover is missing.

Both wrong. It is a real 4×4

D3 is the worst version :) and d2 is the best version followed by d4 and new discovery :) and d1 is prop old school all road truck
