Hines Ward should be a hall of Famer. One of best blocking wrs of all time, played special teams early in h9s career and still had 1,000 career recs. He was a great overall player. Underrated because he wasnt a flashy Moss type, should be in.

@@indianaducky Heath? Nah. Hall of Very Good but not the HoF. Hines, on the other hand, is a travesty that he's not in. 1000 catches - many in years where he played with lousy QBs in a run-oriented system - 12,000 yards, 86tds, best blocking WR in history, Super Bowl MVP, 2 time Super Bowl winner....if that's not a HoF resume I don't know what is. Not to diminish other's achievements but take a guy like Issac Bruce. He played with Kurt Warner in his prime in a wide-open offense so piling up stats was easier. Ward was 28 by the time Ben came to PIT and was 30 (that's old for a WR) by the time Ben had his first 3,000 yard season - before that he played with a collection of bad QBs on a throwback running team, so he had far fewer opportunities to put up the numbers. Here's the Steelers rankings in Passing Yards in every season before Hines was 30: 29th (out of 30), 26 (31), 29, 21, 7 (32), 14, 28 and 24th. They had fewer passing yards than any team during that stretch and yet somehow Ward put up the stats, with 4 seasons over 1,000 yards in that span. It's absurd he's not in the HoF yet.

One of the most heartbreaking losses in Jets history. Everytime I watch this it sadness overcomes me. Very weird season starting 6-0 finishing 10-6 clinching a playoff spot on the last game of the season and beating the Chargers after blowing the lead late in the game. I don't think they would've beat the Patriots but you never know. Been a Jets fan since 2000 and this was the second best team they behind the 2010 Jets who lost the AFC title game to the Steelers.

That being said, this game was a perfect example of why Bill Cowher choked in most BIG playoff games (1-4 at home in AFC Title games). He coached scared in the playoffs. Thankfully, the refs helped him get a ring in 2005...Im a Steelers fan and I know we got EVERY call in that SB.

Also the time difference factor. 2. Playing a THIRD consecutive OT game. 3. Playing the Number 1 D in their house. 4. Chad Pennington throwing in the swirling winds of Heinz field. 5. Ben has GOT to hold the NFL record for the most interceptions in critical situations. While he does have a generally good record and stats, his propensity for throwing untimely interceptions is keeping him from being a truly great quarterback and why Brady will always be thought of as better.

Never mind Brady. This is why Ben is regarded as a second-tier QB at best and never rose beyond that level in his career. With the exception of 2005, Ben was a merely a passenger on most of the Steelers championship teams. The Defense was usually good enough with Troy P. to cover for him. Holding opponents in check until he got his act together. Ben couldn’t win once the Steelers Defensive core faded. ‘05 was where Ben stepped up and emerged as a leader of the team. He was never that good ever again.

This team has the best steelers record, but no way the best team. Their defense carried them at the end. Ben really struggled with the big games later in his rookie year. That even boiled into the super bowl a year later. Imo, Ben always kinda struggled in big games, with exception of SB 43. SB 45 he had some horrible throws and a pick 6. He started to make up for it later in the game, but the final drive was his time to shine and it went nowhere. Not saying he's not a hall of famer, but his playoff performances were hit or miss.
