Vettes are so nice. C5’s are such nice Vettes.

I straight piped my ‘04 Z06. Teeth rattling awesomeness.

Love those round tail lights. Makes the car look spooky. Sad to see that they were replaced with Camaro lights.

Cheap too at least in Florida if you look around. Been seeing them for 15 to 20k. Dream car of mine as well.

I want to straight pipe my c5, what kind of tips are those? And did you have any problems after u made it a straight pipe?

Nice job on the flush mounted taillights... You should make a video on that, cause that is sweet!

There is a flush mount kit you can buy for $20. You can also make the kit for like $8. It's just longer mounting screws with plastic tubing over the screws as shims.

@@CaptEricS Nice work! I think they look great with the flush mounts and it's a bit easier to keep the rear clean once the lenses are moved outward. Subtle but looks great.

Hi, do you have an X or H cross section or straight out from each manifolds?

May i ask sounds nice im thinking of doing the same thing have any pictures of the exhaust assembly from underneath so i can get an idea of how to have the muffler shop do mine? Also were you able to get it inspected?

This makes me want to get new balances and long white socks

Any problem with low end torque? Noticeable?

How bad was the exhaust/fuel smell with this setup?

What size tips are those is that a exhaust ?

you can see the vibrations in the tail lights when he starts it!

I need this in my 04 m6GTO with 60k miles. Currently have stock exhaust out to resonators then straight pipes in place of mufflers. Want to do res delete into an X pipe and shorty headers :/

How was the drone in the car?..could you still listen to music or talk to the passenger with that set up?

Long tubes and corsa sport. Very loud but no drone at cruising speeds. A little raspy so keep the cats

Ivan Quintero car is tuned with HPtuners. Rear 02’s have been deleted so no codes

I just re read what you said and an xpipe alone will not throw a code. Only if you delete the cats with it!

Needs a cam and turbo,

loose power when you straight pipe, plus sounds horrible on the highway . yes i own a c5 corvette and it makes 850hp at the tires with 84mm turbo through a flowmaster muffler

my c5 is bolt ons tuned and it gets 30+ on the highway cruising at 70-80, after 85 it drops to like 26ish

There is a factory H-pipe exhaust system on C5 Corvettes that has an H-shaped path after the cat converters. It gives the C5 Corvette this nasty motorboat noise and makes a strange "jingle" noise when the gas pedal is unpressed. Replace that H-pipe with an X-pipe (the X is where the dual exhaust system briefly meets) and drastically change the noise to something more throaty and refined. Also increase power in higher RPM but kinda reduces torque at lower RPM.

@@LuckyClipsLC Lol okay. Sometimes I read something and understand it too literally. By the way, my own C5 has Borla axle-back straight pipes with a Borla X-pipe. It sounds clean and beefy! No more motorboat idle and it sounds more like an LS7.
