Awesome, It was a learning curve for me as well. Fortunately I have taken apart enough cv style joints I had an idea of what was going on. Thanks for watching and the kind works.

I have been there plenty of times. I usually will try a torx socket and hammer it in to the allen bolt and carefully by hand try and remove it. Good luck.

Hey Mike!!! Thanks for stopping over here! That price does not seem all that bad. It has to be programed on top of being installed. Sometimes that includes reprograming a few other modules. I do not know much about the impala it self, but the vw and audi PCM can be very expensive!

Well, if you are having trouble with the key not wanting to turn because the tumblers are bad or going bad, I would def take care of that before getting the PCM replaced. Why are they replacing the PCM by the way? Feel free to ask away with questions, Ill answer what I can. Also, Thanks for the Superthanks!!! Its very much appreciated!

I actually forgot to reach out to them. I might do that now that i am thinking of it. The bearing in the center was making a humming noise similar to a bad wheel bearing.

@willpoweredgarage969 was this noise associated with acceleration and not speed? I get a wild thumping from the rear under acceleration. I'm hoping it's just the carrier bearing and not slipping rear diff

No, but I do explain it in the video. You basically need to work your way around it with a small prying device. Must be careful because there is an o-ring seal under it.
