Did all the upgrades for my 05 TL and Damn!! What a difference in sound quality! The bass way stronger especially if you listen to music with a kick drum Dont expect booming bass since it's only a free air 8 inch woofer! I'm very satisfied and glad I upgraded to the 5 channel plug and play amp that they sell! Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Did a whole entire audio overhaul. Used the amp bypass harness, used the speaker adapters for the fronts and had great luck. Ran the crossovers that came with my set of JL’s but your guy’s products saved me so much time and energy. Anybody who wants the easiest audio upgrade for the TL, these guys are the best in the game. @@futbolcris9282 in terms of rewriting every speaker wire from the stereo, it isn’t expensive. It’s very much worth it. The harness saved me a ton of time and money.

Used your wiring kit to hook up my 07 TL stock headunit to a JL VXI amp. Replaced door speakers and center dash speaker. Great combo since the Vxi can take the inputs directly from the headunit. Did all the tuning from the VXI and it sounds amazing after getting everything tuned. Still need to replace tweeters and get a sub but one piece at a time lol If you have access to JL products you should do a video on that setup, it’s sick

TY i needed to see how the dash speaker is installed, i'm buying a replacement cover for my cracked up dash... just like this car.

So bizarre to me that this process is this incredibly difficult, do car manufacturers do this on purpose to make things harder so that normal people can’t do this on their own? No way in hell I am doing this on my own. Lol

Those cables that latch to the door handle ,(the green one) they are super easy to break as they are made of plastic. Especially if your vehicle is in pretty hot areas. But they are cheap to replace.

So you don't put that OEM white cover bracket back into the door to protect from water coming down into the door?

Those door cables are a pain in the ass on the TL and the Accord of this gen. When I took my Accord passenger side apart I found the plastic collar was broken and zip-tied in some weird way by whomever owned the car before me. I ended up having to order a new cable and install it which involved removing the entire latch mechanism from the door and disassembling it to attach the new cable. Not looking forward to doing this again if it breaks on my TL when I upgrade my speakers.

Cant you say me the diameter the clips for adapters for speakers?

Do you know if a Coaxial speaker will be ok to be installed in the door and still use the factory Tweeters in the dash?

yes will work and not sound bad.

So, did you have to shave down anything on the door panel to get the speakers to fit? I keep reading that aftermarket speakers won’t fit in the doors because there isn’t enough space at the front between the speaker face and door, and now that you added a spacer, it seems like the door wouldn’t be able to fit over the speaker

door panel fits fine. The factory spacer is the same thickness as ours. not sure where you are reading the information but there is a lot of wrong information out there.

Looking to put a sub, rear speaker, and amp in my 04 tl would I need to get front speakers too or would it sound good with the stuff listed above

That is up to you sound is really personal but our recommendation is to do all the speakers if you are doing the rears as well.

Looked on crutchfield and they say no aftermarket speakers can fit in the door because it's too slim. Do you know the mount depth for the front doors?

Crutchfield is wrong and no unfortunately we never measured you can fit almost any 5.25 speaker as long as the magnet isn't huge. The problem with a 6.5 is that the cutout for the door is too small so you have to cut metal or use our spacer. When we did cut the door for an install we didn't have any problems with clearance behind the speaker we were using a set of kicker components for that install.

Just got the kit. So no need for the crossovers right? That come with the JBL set?

@@jacobrose1579 i was able to install it and they made it super easy all plug and play. They put on the capacitor on the tweeter so now need for the crossovers Super easy and a huge improvement from stock

Yes, audible difference and a solid upgrade. If you don't care necessarily about upgrading just one of your speakers is blown. Just buy an OEM one instead.

On this model speaker we can get away with the bass blocking capacitor on the tweeter harness. This is after research into the crossover that comes with these speakers. There are speakers that don't require crossovers some model alpines, pioneer and audison speakers have crossovers in the form of bass blockers on the tweeters and then wound coils on the woofers. There are other speakers where you will need to install the crossover. For the TL we don't recommend it. It will make the install so much more annoying and complicated.

It’s crazy how fragile that door latch cable is. You even knew it was a point of weakness and the video pauses at 5:58 in admitting it was broken.

yeah the passenger door cable was extremely tight on this car. This is the first TL that has broken on us and of course on video lol.

ok so I bought your amplifier by pass harness. My component speakers 6.5 came with a little box that is a crossover. so how do I run the wires to hook it up ? please let me know.

What size capacitor do you recommend for the tweeters?

we use 100v 15ohm cap on 2.5 ohm tweeters so you would have to do the math for your exact tweeters.

Capacitor have mili, mikro, nano and pikoFarad no ohm. Ohm is rezistance

All this and not one video of you installing speakers on a 4th gen tl. All videos lead right up to the point where I need to see how the speaker is installed. Vert frustrating. Please make a video of you installing speakers on a 4th gen tl. Front and rear. I have no idea what screws to use to install the adapter for the after market speakers.
